My daughter has been attending SwimStars at Walkden for a while now. She has grown in confidence so much as she was really anxious when in the water. I want to say a massive thank you to her swim instructor, Mark who has been amazing with her from the start. He has had time and patience with her each week and helped her along the way to build her water confidence. The support and encouragement he has given my daughter has been amazing. My daughter can now swim and will hopefully achieve even more skills now she has moved to the next level.

Disappointed to say the least. After a change of swim teacher, the level of communication from SwinStars has been untimely and rude at best. Lessons cancelled at the last moment, no mention of any compensation or rescheduling of missed lessons. When contacting SwimStars about the above issues, i'm now on day 6 of waiting for a reply or a level of acknowledgement. Poor show.

Lessons started off well but we were soon hit with consistent cancellations of lessons - reading the other reviews it looks like this is a common theme. My daughter has now gone a month without a single lesson. Late notification of cancellations often results in my daughter getting upset as all she wants to do is learn to swim. You have to request a refund, even when they cancel the lesson, something from a customer service perspective is bizarre and really poor. Actually getting a response from someone from their head office is painful, over a week just to get confirmation of a refund! The way the company is ran and how they treat customers is clearly a huge issue. Will be cancelling and finding another provider. I would avoid if you are thinking of using this company.

I would leave zero stars if i could. Lessons are cancelled on a weekly basis due to staff shortages and staff holidays. In 7 weeks my son has been able to attend one lesson. Safe to say we have cancelled his lessons and will go else where

Absolutely rubbish! My little boy went for year and a half, never updated the portal, wasn’t learning properly, always swapping swim teachers we had 5 teaches within 8 weeks, no consistency! Stil had to pay through covid19 which was ridiculous!! Communication was shocking! Would not recommend! Your better finding someone that teachers your child individually within the group and not all the group at once!! 30mins at £11/£12 an hour is not worth it for what they get! 6 to one teacher at 4years old is not good enough! Same activities all the time.. no progression/ not quick enough to move children on! Too many steps for one stage!

My child has received one to one swimming lessons for over a year. The progress in the sessions was phenomenal. However since April we have had no lessons as The instructor has been unable to offer these. I have asked for the availability of an alternative teacher who provides one to one sessions but have been informed no one is available. Since we did not wish our child to regress on her progress we enrolled her on one of your swim stars classes. I am greatly disappointed as the teacher has allowed my child has regress. Despite speaking to your teacher about my child being on one armband per arm, she was placed on three plus a noodle. In four session she has remained on the same level of floats, there is no differentiation between the weakest and the strongest swimmer in the class. The teacher is more than able to do the same activities with the class and can simply differentiate by changing the floats according to the swimmer. We have repeatedly asked for our child to be assessed to access the next group to enable her to not only progress but be challenged however this request has been ignored repeatedly.

My 2 kids have been attending swimstars for 3 years. They have always enjoyed their lessons and count down the days till it’s the day! The instructors have always been fab and friendly and happy to have a chat with parents at the end of the session. I find progression is really slow moving up levels but it has made my kids into fantastic swimmers who know techniques as apposed to being able to doggy paddle 100metres!

My little boy has been swimming with SwimStars for just under 2 years. He has had a consistent teacher Jodie for the whole time he has been at Whitefield. Jodie is amazing with the children, she is firm but fair, fun but still gets the children learning. My dad recently took my son after not seeing him swim for some time and couldn't believe how much he has come on. I love the small class number which is a pleasure to see after watching my older children struggle as 1 of 12 or more at our local council pool. with really poor teachers. The venue is lovely well looked after with really friendly staff. I can't recommend Becky Adlington's SwimStars highly enough, if you want a small class, personal service and top quality lessons.
