Excellent service staff were amazing food was really good competitively priced drinks. Location was great for Chester zoo 20mins drive. Bathrooms a bit dated but hotel was absolutely spotlessly clean. Family rooms were excellent. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again

Room 114 has got black mold on the ceiling. When challenging reception I was told there is nothing she could do ablut this but I could have a shower in the leisure club. During check out the next day I was asked wich room I am checking out, I responded "the mouldy one" on wich the receptionist replied "wich one of them". Very disapointing stay. I am used to a higher standard with Best Western. A positive to finish: The food, wine and Service in the restaurant is good.

Alright for a business trip, staff welcoming and polite, the facilities a little dated and in need of a refurb, my particular room the toilet didn't flush. Potentially could be a really good hotel, the restaurant food is excellent. If they spent some money upgrading the hotel side it'd be a great venue. I wouldn't stay here for a leisure trip personally.

Location is very nice, although one of the roads leading to the hotel is very narrow. Breakfast service was good and the selection was also very good. We arrived at the property quite late and there was no one at the reception desk and it took quite some time to find someone, although he was helpful when finally found. Although the temperature outside was pleasant, the room temperature overnight was definitely too warm and only a table fan was available to cool it. It made for uncomfortable sleeping even with Windows open.

We stopped overnight to break up a long journey. It was a bargain for a huge family room. The swimming pool was great for a little one and the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna were all working well. Food was great and the chef freshly prepared our breakfasts as they were a little light on guests that morning. The team was very pleasant and friendly.

I had a really terrible experience with this gym that I just have to share. When I first signed up, I was pretty excited about the facilities and equipment, and I thought the monthly membership fee was reasonable. However, when I decided to cancel my membership a few months later, that's when the trouble started. I was informed that in order to cancel my membership, I would have to pay for two months in advance. I was shocked by this, as I had never encountered this kind of policy before. I tried to reason with the gym staff, but they were unyielding and wouldn't budge on the policy. A few weeks later, I received a notice from a debt collection agency claiming that I owed money to the gym. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, the gym had gone ahead and sold the debt to a collection agency. I was appalled by their lack of professionalism and ethics. It's clear to me that this gym is only interested in squeezing as much money as possible out of their members, even if it means resorting to underhanded tactics like selling debts to collection agencies rather than meeting someone halfway. In summary, I would strongly advise anyone against joining this gym. Their policies are unreasonable and their customer service is appalling. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else.

We went for a walk during the Christmas holiday in the woodland surrounding this hotel. I never knew it was there. We went in for some food and drinks, it was lovely. Staff were friendly , everywhere was nice and clean. I can't comment on the rooms as we were not guests. I would reccomend going there for food and drinks.

I had written a long essay about the quality of my stay but nobody would read it. Spa facilities were good. location and parking good. Being dog friendly is very good. Staff were ill mannered, disrespectful and down right unhelpful with a special mention to the holier than thou stuck up receptionist Bryan who badly effected the mood of my stay. Meals poor. Generally raggedy and outdated decor.

Forest Hills was most convenient for an overnight stay before an event nearby. From the outset I was impressed with the service. When I had to ring to amend the booking, having accidentally only selected 1 guest rather than 2, Stephanie was very understanding and helpful - promptly sending a confirmation email of the change as requested. As for the stay, despite - as mentioned in other reviews - the hotel being quite dated, it was fully functional and suited our requirements. It had a great view and plenty of parking. I was impressed with the leisure facilities too and enjoyed using these in the evening. All in all I would return should I visit the area again.

Staff were very helpful, breakfast was freshly made and plentiful and the location was really good for visiting Chester and surrounding area. However the rooms were a bit tired the bathroom was most certainly in need of an update as too was the decor especially the curtains. It was however clean and sufficient for our needs.
