   I have just been for my flu jab, which was booked via the app, over a week ago. I am immunosuppressed so, if I don't book it as soon as I am invited, I get constant reminders. When I arrived at this pharmacy today, well before my appointment time, the pharmacist invited me into the consultation room. She asked my age, then proceeded to tell me she can't give me my jab because she used the last one suitable for my age group to another patient, a few minutes earlier. What is the point on booking an appointment if the pharmacy aren't going to save enough for their prebooked patients? The pharmacist then tells me I will need to rebook but, despite her insisting that I wouldn't have any issue rebooking, the app won't let me rebook because the system now thinks I have already had it. I am now going to have to try to find time to ring my GP surgery Reception, who are only available when I am at work, to see if they will let me book it with them. I have just moved to Pontefract, but in previous years have had my flu jab at Excel Chemist in Normanton with no issues at all. This pharmacy is clearly not properly organised. I shall be booking my jabs elsewhere in future.

   I have my prescription delivered and this is the last time they mess me about , it is over a week since it was ordered and I am still waiting for 4 parts of it : stomach tablets , peptic acid , folic acid and pain killers of which were promised 4/5 days ago... I have been out of stomach pills and the secondary pain killers for two days now.

   The pharmacy staff have always been polite,friendly and helpful when answering my phone calls. They deliver my repeat prescriptions every month as soon as they have my medications. The delivery personnel are also polite,friendly and helpful. Aswel as been well dressed and professional. A great chemists. Recommend. This review is about Chequerfield Pharmacy Pontefract and NOT Medichem Pharmacy Pontefract.

   I would like to say a massive thank you to Jasmine and her fabulous team..!! I have suffered for years with ear infections, after discovering I had fungal infection in both ears! Medichem Pharmacy offer an ear cleaning and anti fungal treatment that has cleared all my symptoms I have been suffering from, within 3 visits… Im now all clear from infection. I can’t thank Jasmine enough for how this treatment has made a massive difference to my day to day living! Thank again!! Anyone suffering I would highly recommend visiting Medichem Pharmacy don’t suffer in silence!!

   Go here...they are fantastic! They can't do enough for you and they've been under so much pressure and STILL smile and help you that if I could give more than 5⭐️ I would. Throughout lockdown they continued to put the patients first and when I was having an issue with a prescription they went above and beyond to sort it for me. I'm not great verbally on the phone and they know this so they happily assisted myself with dealing with the problem...including calling myself once it had been done. Now...its been taken over and scripts that are postdated are usually an 'after 5pm' collection. If you call on the day your script is due be expected to hear that and honestly...with the thousands they get daily..go with it! They could make you wait 3/4 working days like some!. I've also noticed if they don't have the meds in they will offer to print the script so you can try elsewhere rather than you waiting. One of the few places that are under extreme pressure yet give 101%. You won't be disappointed! Be polite and respectful and you'll receive that in return.

   Have always been served efficiently and politely. You don't have long waits for prescriptions as with most chemists. Update. Things have gone downhill. Was given the wrong tablets last time. They sorted it but didn't get an apology. Yesterday I was given the right tablets but the box was battered and had been opened. On looking closer noticed the best before date was last February. They were 11 months out of date! How on earth can that happen. Got an apology and some new tablets this time. It won't happen again. Have changed to Boots. Not impressed!
