think the nursery is very quickly going down hill, now the SEN lady has left also , always got agency staff in, never looks clean.
We are so grateful for the wonderful care received at footsteps Canwell. My daughter who is now in the toddler room, joined back in 2023 after we were recommended the nursery from a family member. The staff are incredibly nurturing and attentive, always going the extra mile to make sure our child feels safe and happy. We especially appreciate the creative activities and engaging learning environment that help the children develop so much in a short time. We’ve found all the staff to be warm, welcoming and professional. I love how they focus on the children being independent, we noticed this instantly as my daughter started to feed herself (in the baby room) and this has continued throughout her time there with walking up the stairs, taking off her shoes etc. The communication is effortless through an app. This is where they send messages, post invoices and upload a daily diary which includes pictures of what she gets up to and information regarding food, nappies & sleep times. They also regularly upload reports to outline how she’s developing. This is usually linked to the current learning theme which they plan activities around. The nursery is very clean as the staff are constantly tidying up after the children and it always smells great with what the chef is cooking! The nursery is well set up for lots of outdoor play including many play areas like the forest school. We highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a high-quality childcare experience.
We have 2 children at the nursery and have been really pleased. Staff all lovely, activities are great and my kids have fun! Would recommend.
My daughter started in baby room in 2022 and is now in toddler room. I can not fault the nursery. Right from her first day, the team, Managers and Cook have been amazing. My daughter is happy and content when I drop/collect her and this is the biggest indicator for me. Their processes and procedures (including accommodating my daughters food allergies) are robust and the kids activities are fun & well thought out. I get regular updates on my daughters progress and anything going on at the nursery in general. It’s made returning to work so much easier. Can’t thank them enough.
