OMG, what a find! I every month I head here to buy all my Desi food items and the staff here are so very lovely! Highly recommend to anyone who misses or enjoys Desi food.
Found maggots and moths inside the bag of rice that I bought from here. I will never come back. This is a first and I hope this doesn't happen to any of you.
Excellent shop with wide array of collections starting fm vegetables , fresh cut vegetables to snacks , spices , lentils and frozen ready to eat foods .. well organised and very courteous staff . Very near to turnpike tube station
Almost all Indian groceries are available here. It was a bit expensive, but it was worth it because I get almost everything i need from there. Literally, ALMOST EVERYTHING. I dont miss Indian groceries anymore
Just noticed this label! Expiry date is 1 year long?? Can't be true for chips. Why label?? Where is company print?? Question for its authenticity.
Very good store with a wide range of spices, pickles and chutneys. Also has a fairly large freezer section with samosas, parathas, etc. Small selection of vegetables but very good quality - fresh haldi (turmeric) and curry leaves is usually available
This store is comfortabley situated amongst other interesting stores and restaurants in Turnpike Lane. I'm amazed by the range of produce they stock. If you enjoy preparing your own Indian cuisine, then this place is a real delight. They have a vast range of herbs, spices, nuts, pulses and rice. Outside there are fresh vegetables. Inside there is available and helpful staff.
One of the best Asian stores in North London. You'd find pretty much everything here. Spice aisle is very crammed. Limited vegetables out at the front but to tell you the truth they are very fresh compared to other Bengali (I'm a Bengali myself) and Indian stores on Turnpike Lane. We buy our spices, herbs, Chutney, spice packets (Shan, Laziza), Ghee, dessert tin (Wakefield's Mango flavoured custard) and Ahmed and other brands Jelly (whichever is on offer or available) as it's extremely hard to find Halal or veggie friendly jelly from the mainstream superstores. Negative: No parking space. Hikes prices during Ramadan/Eid ( it"s not just them so can't blame them) Couldn't buy Nido because of the rise in the price. It's usually £2.99 for 400g.
