This is the oriental supermarket a short walk away from Tesco seven sisters and Tottenham hale, inside you will find all the Asian treats, drinks, snacks you can imagine from fresh to frozen. You can find fresh seafood here such as Crabs and fish. The store is little tight so you can take your buggy in but not explore with it. The staff are friendly and young. I often find the pasteries on sale which is a great bargain. You have the instand noodles wall inside with its extensive range and the price is not bad compared to other Asian supermarkets. The iconic Red store is easy to find and clean.

Rude and racist. Follows people of colour around while anyone white is fine. Questioned this and their answer was “we have no cctv”. When asked why they weren’t following white customers, response was “black and brown kids come steal” Nothing priced and they change prices as they pick and choose. I would fully avoid!

Most (95%+) prices are not marked, which is already a red flag. I had purchased some items and thought the price was very high (even for an Asian supermarket), but they were not marked so I just moved on because I wanted the items and Asian supermarkets are not so common. I went back and bought another item that was clearly marked (in Chinese, but I can read/speak Chinese after living in China for some years) but the woman at the cash register told me a different (higher) price. Total scam, and I will never be coming back again which is unfortunate because this is by far the closest Chinese grocery store to me and it has good selection. Aside from the pricing issue, the shop is not the cleanest (not dirty compared to wet markets, but by western standards is dirty).

Really great selection of ramen and noodles, including the nice knife-cut noodles I've always struggled to find elsewhere. Staff were kind and helpful.

So, so, incredibly rude. Now choosing to get jackfruit, wasabi, dim sum and nori elsewhere, even though Chao Yi is only two mins from my flat.
