   It was our first time walking around Daisy Nook, despite having lived in Oldham all my life. We walked just over 2 miles in total. Starting off in Stannybrook Car Park, walked up the main trail, up to Crime Lake, and back round Sammy's Basin. Daisy Nook is beautiful I would highly recommend. Excellent for photographers and walkers alike. I believe they have Kingfishers there although we sadly didn't see any today. Parking is free, and there is a cafe onsite. Suitable footwear is advised, as even though it was a dry day, the rain from the night before had caused some big puddles along the side of the river.

   It is a lovely park, and we really enjoyed being entertained by the ducks. Good for a bike ride with the kids or just with adults. There's a cafe whuch sells burgers, chips and snacks plus hot and cold drinks abd ice cream. The toilets leave much to be desired are desperately in need of an upgrade, the one used wouldn't flush and looked lit hadn't done so for a long time. I had to queue to wash & dry my hands. Three cubicles, two sinks, and one hand dryer. Otherwise, it's a lively day out.

   Daisy Nook is a lovely countryside escape tucked away in Oldham, just outside the city buzz of Manchester. It offers a peaceful mix of woodlands, canals, walking trails, and open green spaces — perfect for a quiet stroll, family outing, or even a bit of photography. The paths are well-maintained, and there’s a calm, relaxed atmosphere all around. There’s also a small café near the entrance for a coffee or snack after a walk. A great spot to reconnect with nature without going too far from town.

   Daisy Nook Country Park is a peaceful green space tucked between Oldham and Manchester, ideal for a quiet walk, family picnic, or short cycle. The mix of woodlands, canals, and open fields gives it a calming feel. There's a good mix of flat paths and gentle slopes, so it's accessible for all ages. The canal and viaduct are especially scenic, and you'll often spot wildlife like ducks, herons, and squirrels. The small café near the car park is decent for a quick coffee or snack. It's usually clean and well-kept, although the car park can get busy on warm weekends. Great spot for a bit of fresh air without leaving Greater Manchester.

   Visited 04/05/2025, after doing some research found three car parks and went for the one adjacent to the cafe, there is limited spaces so I’d going on a weekend when busier best to get early. The cafe is a good place to start and with the day being sunny got a lovely two scoop ice cream to have as walking around. If walking with young members and/or those who need a stable path to walk on then recommend walking the green route, although once you get to the point where the people fishing along the bank and near to a road exit, the signs disappear as they have been either damaged or removed so you then have to go back on yourself as any other route for instance under the bridge tunnel is not as accessible and the other side of the water stream is very muddy as if horses from nearby training school have been taken through so stick to main path back. Lovely place to visit, lots of friendly hellos as going around from friendly visitors/locals, a welcoming place to visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   My Patterjack loves this place. It's a dog's paradise. This time of year autumn is magical. Grab a sausage sandwich and coffee from the cafe to warm you up at the end of the walk or give you energy at the start. Top notch park not miles out of town. Parking can be problematic at times but usually a space will appear.

   Lovely country park, which includes woodland, a canal and ponds. Free spacious parking, however it can get busy. Amenities and food available. Not sure there is a bus service. A few tracks, and some that lead into the surrounding countryside. Lots of wildlife and people are generally friendly.

   This stunning spot is great for bird watching and a wonderful habitat There are bridle paths for horse-riding and clearly marked footpaths for ramblers or gentle family walks. Enjoy fresh air, woodland and wildlife!

   Daisy Nook is a great place to visit where people are friendly and welcome you with a hello or a story to tell. Daisy Nook has a smallish car park but also is served by a bus route which drops you near the entrance. In addition to this there is a small cafe that serves arrange of refreshments and food items. As well there is toilets for all. Daisy Nook caters for all types of people and needs as there is plenty of different types that use this park from families, walkers, runners, dog owners and even photographers. There is a child's play area within the grounds where children can have fun. There is a horse riding place next door to Daisy Nook in which you might find riders on their horse riding along the bridal paths. Daisy nook is also used for fishing in the big lake too. You simple could spend hours there and enjoy yourself. I love going for the wildlife and getting to meet a variety of people.

   Ample parking upon arrival, with toilets on site and a nicely decorated Cafe with helpful staff. The locals were very friendly here and there was a play area with a large wooden ship construct for children to explore. Many of the footpaths are pram friendly and dogs are very welcome here too. We saw lots of horses, with a riding school behind the Cafe, this made sense. We saw streams, lakes/ponds with different birds and I think it is suitable for fishing too. The walkways around the ponds are very well taken care of and there are many footpaths that veer off in different directions to explore. Very beautiful and peaceful place, I look forward to visiting again soon.
