We took 50 children from our holiday club ice skating here and the staff were exceptionally friendly and got us all in time for our session, the kids thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

Great ambience at the Christmas Market. Food is excellent quality and reasonable price. Skating rink (undercover for the odd times it rains!) is great fun, but it can get busy. The park area is peaceful and the water rill is relaxing to sit or walk by.

Cathedral Gardens Ice Skating Rink is a fantastic winter attraction right in the heart of Manchester! The location is perfectβsurrounded by the festive atmosphere of the Christmas markets, making it a magical experience for visitors of all ages. What really stands out is how inclusive the facilities are. The rink is well-designed to accommodate skaters of all abilities, with helpful staff always on hand to assist beginners and ensure everyone feels safe and confident. Whether youβre an experienced skater or stepping onto the ice for the first time, youβll find it welcoming and enjoyable. The atmosphere is vibrant, the equipment is well-maintained, and the overall experience is both fun and accessible. Highly recommended for families, friends, and anyone looking to embrace the festive spirit in Manchester!

Cathedral Gardens offers a rare blend of tranquility and cultural energy in the city centreβperfect whether you want to rest in the shade, enjoy free events, or simply admire the architecture around (like Urbis and the cathedral). Itβs centrally positioned and excellent as a pause between exploring attractions or grabbing a coffee.

A stunning place to spend a few hours in the sunshine. The gardens are the perfect place to relax in the city centre without feeling like you're IN a city centre. The cathedral is full of history and well worth a visit

Pretty quaint garden at the heart of Manchester. Great for picnics or just a quick relaxing time as a lunch break from work. There is a coop at the corner, so one could get something to eat and enjoy the view. It can get a bit noisy with the traffic around it, but it is really pretty.

Hard to review a patch of grass next to the footie museum...but it held the food festival today. Lots of interesting stalls from Eritrean to Brazil etc. Two real ale bars. Had a good time. OK prices. Deposits on plastic pint pots but not plastic wine glasses. A few years ago the SS litter patrol fined a friends daughter for..taking a selfie! ...They stood up to take the pic and left their Coke can unattended for 30 secs.

Just a nice little park, often filled with events that bring in the people. We visited during the Italian food festival. Was great :)
