Great place for country walking with numerous routes. However, be careful if walking dogs off lead, especially at weekends, as there are two seemingly uncontrolled problems: 1. Off road motorbikes driving on footpaths. Illegal and very dangerous. On my last 10 walks in Phillips park I have seen this twice. As well as dangerous these bike damage footpaths. 2. Cyclists speeding on no bike signed footpaths instead of sticking to clearly marked bike routes in the park. This is dangerous on the narrower bendy footpaths with poor visibility ahead. I suspect cyclists on proper routes also complain about people on their paths as signage is not the best. Fix this two issues and maintain park paths a bit better and this would be a 5 star resource.

Never been before. It was recommended for MTB tracks. Unusual access via the tall bridge over the M60. Has a lot of potential but very run down. We travelled 45 minutes to get here, so we're glad that we tried it but it's not what we expected. Nice view of the city though ☺️

Absolutely beautiful park. Very special place for me since the 1960s. Visited for the first time since the late 70s/early 80s since moving out of the area. Heartbreaking what's happened to the buildings and beautiful conservatory etc but so wonderful to see what the various volunteer groups are achieving there, above all giving the Park love and TLC. Thank you.

Beautiful park, with lots of different routes to take. Dog friendly.

Fantastic bike track, although a little difficult for younger kids. Definitely worth a return visit to complete as only managed half way round when little legs go tired.

Great place for walk, play in play ground with your child and bike cycling. There is a plenty of walking trails, river, water streams and woodlands. Great place to take children as there is playing area and inexhaustible amount of walking tracks.

Only really skirted the park while travelling to Ringley Woods via Drinkwater on The Kingfisher Trail.. Which is worthwhile. There looks to be plenty of places to explore, with lots of birds and other wildlife. The 13 Arch Viaduct is also close. It looked clean and well maintained in parts, and wild in others; which I like. I'll try and spend more time when I'm next in the area.
