Our son attended Solihull Music School for ten years and - thanks to the skill, patience and unfailing support of his teachers - is now an accomplished musician on two instruments, keyboards and drums. I cannot recommend the school highly enough.

My son Krishna began his musical journey at Solihull Music School in Grade 5, and over the years the school has proven to be a perfect blend of accessibility and quality in musical training. My son has been having lessons in person at the school and on line for 6 years and thoroughly enjoyed them, drums mainly but also tried keyboard and electric guitar. All the teachers have been great and supportive. Team have always been flexible on timings to work around us. Exams weren’t a key priority for him but technical skills and a variety of genres of music to be able to play were and so no pressure to do exam after exam. Only stopping at 18 as no time now due to focussing on A levels. Definitely recommend.
My son has had drum lessons at SMS for several years. During Covid he was able to access his lessons via the student portal which now means he can still use it should he need to and the school is able to see his attendance. The teachers have always gone above and beyond to try to motivate my teenager to put in the practice. Not always easy and over the years we have appreciated their efforts and the extra time they have invested in him. A family run business that wants to see the best achieved by their students and most importantly my son thoroughly enjoys his time there.

I only remembered about this place fairly recently, I was a student probably about 7 years ago - and I was taught be Jodie on Keyboard. Back then I remember always looking forward to my lessons, and seemed to learn something new each day I went. Unfortunatly, I decided to pack it in. Which was a bad decision now I look back at it. Jodie is a credit to the school, and if everything is up to the same standards, as it was back then... I would'nt reccomend anywhere else.
they are absolutely rubbish, please don't take your children there . you will be wasting your money like me! my child was going for 5 years and he did the preliminary exam and still can't play a proper song. he could have been on grade 5 by now. very disappointed! :((
Possibly one of the best music schools in the West Midlands. The service is amazing, tutors are inspiring and they help in any way they can. Highly recommend, you or your children will fall in love with music performance.
