The campus is extensive and the facilities are excellent. At present I have not given the fifth star as the Barber Institute is not open. The art gallery is one of the gems of the University and a visit is highly recommended. The old buildings included the clock tower and the great hall are the most attractive. Many of the sites have coffee outlets so whichever part of the campus one is in refreshment is not far away. Other attractions are the Lapworth Museum and just a little distance away the Winterbourne Gardens. When the Barber Institute reopens it would be best to visit at the weekend or during one of the vacations when parking is allowed. Public transport is good as the campus has a railway station and bus services are frequent. During term time weekday parking is not available. The campus is a very pleasant place to walk around but not all buildings are open to the public.

The Student Hub has been outstanding in providing efficient support, especially with the processing of my Emirates ID. The staff were organized, clear in their communication, and quick to assist at every step. Overall, the Student Hub delivers excellent service and truly supports students’ needs with professionalism and efficiency.

Visited the University of Birmingham recently and was genuinely impressed by the campus. The architecture is a beautiful blend of historic charm and modern design—Redbrick buildings with character, alongside sleek new facilities. Walking through the grounds felt inspiring, with well-kept gardens and a real sense of academic heritage. It’s easy to see why students would enjoy studying here. A great place to explore, even just as a visitor!

Was a student here and graduated in 1991. Back here after 34 years. Pretty surreal. Lots of changes especially The Vale. Student accommodation totally rebuilt and looks modern and comfortable. The old library has been replaced with a new building and Muirhead Tower somehow enhanced but still looks ugly (IMHO). The new sports centre is superb with many facilities not available during my days. Overall, it is a great university and anyone thinking of tertiary education in UK, don't hesitate to consider this.

Well-reachable location just outside of Birmingham City Centre with a beautiful green campus, especially in summer. The university campus is always clean and patrolled by site security, and is signposted clearly.

I love the university Environment that supports my study, they have almost everything to support you here. You will be amaze by their culture too. The best part of it, they got classic europe theme for building exterior and modern touch in interior. I cannot expect more, it's perfect.

I was here to watch the men's hockey. We ate in the bar and had a great time watching England win. The volunteers were amazing and everything ran smoothly.

Nice campus, and easy to get there by train. The station is called "University". But it's quite a big campus, and poorly signposted. The campus map signs are too small to help at a distance. Quite interesting and a lot more to see than I had time for on my visit.
