   I bout 1/4 of watermelon on Friday, a broccoli and a baby cucumber, paid 4£ in total, and the next day the watermelon was bitter and rotten. How do you sell spoiled stuff to people? Even if I'm just one person, I'm not buying from you again, apart from overpriced, and being sold a spoiled items, the staff is rude at times as other comments say; I'm deeply upset, but this is the last time.

   I went to The Fruit Machine Ltd to buy tomatoes. There was a price tag showing £1.50 albs, but before I could explain the quantity I wanted, the seller immediately said £10. I asked why, and he responded by calling my question “stupid question.” This felt rude and unprofessional. I hope the business improves its customer service. “stupid question.” This was extremely rude and unprofessional, especially towards a paying customer. I remained calm, paid for the items I had already picked, and left feeling disrespected and embarrassed. I will not be buying from here again, and I hope the seller learns to treat customers with basic respect.

   Really friendly and helpful staff! Even asked us what we’d like to see stocked in the future. We’ve bought weekly since they opened (moved from supermarket) and it’s always fresher and better value for money. The garlic, peaches and peppers in particular are huge!! It’s so nice to be back in a local greengrocers.

   As a keen supporter of local businesses, I thought I’d try this independent grocer today to buy some cherries. After waiting patiently, I got completely ignored at the till so decided to simply leave. Bad first experience, so there will not be another. As the son and grandson of a greengrocer, I know it’s tough enough to compete against supermarkets, but if you’re service is generally this bad, sadly I don’t think you’re going to survive.
