   I have had issues here every year since 2021. The recent issue is I started my first year in midwifery, the third day in to the induction week the occupational health doctor said I may not be able to do the degree because of my health conditions and recommended I'd go to see two consultants at my hospital and this uni obliged by this recommendation however I contacted my GP to be referred to the hospital to see two consultants and my GP said no as there isn't a problem and wrote a letter. She informed me this uni is discriminating against me. I contacted two head of midwifery teachers and my personal tutor asking where and who I send the letter from the GP to and it's been 9 days and I've had no response (which is unusual as they respond very quickly through emails because of paper trail). They notified me as well that if I got cleared quickly that I could go back and resume the course but now it looks like that won't happen becusee all I'm receiving is silence. Another thing is in 2024 someone from admissions said I could do 1 year nursing then 2 years of midwifery so I applied for nursing and started in September 2024 after two months I was then told I'd still have to do 3 years of midwifery even if I do 1 year of nursing so I temporarily withdrew and they charged me for a degree I haven't even completed. They have charged me for the midwifery degree as well which is another course I haven't completed. However in 2021, 2022, 2023 on another course I did, none of the lecturers helped me when I asked them for help, continuously I got told "read books" and I still said I was struggling, needed help and didn't understand. This course was meant to be for one year, it took my 3 years to complete due to the lack of support from the tutors because of some of the things I did not understand. I liked this university at the beginning but now I hate it especially charging me for two degrees that I haven't completed because they don't know how to do their job. Now I don't even want to do my midwifery degree anymore, it's put a bad taste in my mouth. I'd highly advise you avoid this university!!

   This campus has a great range of accommodations, for sure some of the best we have seen so far in our university hunt! The classes appear pretty good too, with keen and friendly lecturers. The city is also so lovely. However a couple of the students were not particularly friendly, but you can get that everywhere really

   I applied for a few roles here and had no response. One of the jobs i applied for was IT support on the main campus. The role was mainly on site dealing with daily ot and software queries. You were required to have a driving licence for the role. I have mild cerebral palsy and got no support in applying for the role and there are loads of staff on the team who can drive This is a disability confident employer with just guaranteed to interview scheme. I think this is a bad and unfair interview style let's make our university better again for both students and staff. The application system is based on a pointing system not based on what staff can offer.

   Every Saturday I coach wheelchair basketball at Worcester University for the community from 11-30till 1-00pm anyone can come and enjoy yourselves even if you are able-bodied we have chairs for you

   I feel they let my daughter down by insisting her final placements were in Worcester and not closer to home where she has tried so hard to get a job with great feedback from interviews. She has had to change career and do something different

   I attended St John's for a 2 day course so I didn't get to see much of the campus or the university. What I did see really impressed me. It's a really big, clean campus with a great layout and a lovely cafe/take away and an amazing canteen. I've heard it is a first class university who really look after their students.

   Not interested in supporting or helping until I withdrew from my course . When I did ,I received very good communication and got the information I needed to make an informed decision , but alas it was too late I had requested to leave and will not be returning but joining another uni . I got passed around multiple departments , email tennis and endless phone calls to the multiple finance departments and first point services , no ownership or help was given so I could make decisions . Apparently this university does not like telling a student what support and finance can be available to them until they get into a mess or cross over the threshold where they pay 25% of the yearly tuition fees as and I quote from my course leader “ we the university do not like advertising grants and support “ which basically means they do not want to help you unless you beg or alternatively withdraw . I could have moved courses which certainly would have helped me nobody gave me support in this and they dragged their feet hoping I’d just carry on and find a way. Again I got support once I’d left at which course I could do to get out of the situation I was in.

   Absolutely no care , consideration or support for individual circumstances, the various departments quote the University guidelines with no tolerance to adaption. Financial student support for bursaries or grants is zero. Poor communication, you are expected to chase for updates , left in the dark to what’s going on , problem solving and finding solutions to a students need whether that be course or financial is absent from this university. The actual lecturers are on the whole helpful and friendly. Certainly do not think I’m getting my money’s worth expected to travel over 1 hour for a 30 min practical session which ends up being 10 minutes in duration then expected to wait around for hours for the next one. You wouldn’t think you were a customer or paying for this at all by the total lack of understanding and rigidity.

   A small and friendly university in a lovely city! I had a great time studying Geography here and enjoyed debating with my lecturers. Very passionate team in a small department that is committed to its students and makes sure they have the best possible time and learn what they need for their future plans. I've met many amazing people from all around during my study and work at the University. I fell in love with Worcester and the UK during my studies and enjoyed exploring the surrounding countryside as well as the rest of the country.
