After spending some time in Romania for work, I missed some of the foods , I read the reviews for this shop and thought I'd pay a visit this morning the shop is well stocked , clean and lots of variety and the lady serving was friendly I managed to buy zacusca and some really fresh potato bread, will be back soon
The ladies were very welcoming. Spoke for a bit; it Made the two hour trip worth it. Got everything we needed mici, pate & ingredients for sarmale. Also air conditioned & super clean. Thanks very much ladies. Multimesc mult doamnelor.
Great shop with big variety of Romanian products. To be honest is much better now, before used to be a group of men drinking by the door and won’t be really welcoming.
I had an extremely terrible experience here with the staff and the manager and I would not recommend this place to anyone. I came to photograph traditional Romanian food and culture and also buy some traditional Romanian packaged food for my university project. I asked the staff for permission and she said yes. Later I came to ask the staff present more about Romania and if she can recommend any Romanian food for my research. I believe she didn’t understand what I meant completely. She called the manager and the manager on the phone literally told me “get out of my shop. Do you hear me? I said get out” He was not only insulting but also extremely hateful and horrible towards me for literally doing nothing, especially when I only wanted to learn more about Romanian culture and food. I will never step into their shop and would never recommend anyone to come here. Update - To reply to what the commenter has said, I have literally never been to their shop before. It was my first time. I don’t drink red bull, I hate it. I explained clearly to the staff that it was for my university project. Maybe next time hire someone who understands English. And whoever responded to my comment is probably the most misunderstood person or the biggest liar I’ve come across. How unprofessional. Absolutely disappointed
