Avoid Avoid this place really treating customers so bad . I wanted to buy some lamb chops and the guy just refused to sell it because I asked him to give me some pieces from the top of the tray so basically you can’t choose what meat you want in here really sneaky butcher AVOID!!!
Avoid this place. They steal fish while cutting hoping people don’t pay attention. One of the fish I throw it away before cooking as the bones were coming out and the fish meat had jelly texture. After cooking I realise I cannot eat it as it was smelling terrible and had weirs colour. Honestly, I feel robbed paying so much money for this garbage.
The people that work in the fish shop are kind. The fish it self is very fresh, no matter what fish …it’s fresh
I have bought last Saturday, 1 bag of clams, £12.99. Cooked 2 hours later, 80% of them did not open the shells, plus 3 were crashed. Seafood not fresh. Very disappointed, won't bye there any longer. Crocks, and not selling fresh Clams. Avoid
A lot of negative reviews on here but to be honest I been coming here for a while to get my fish and it’s always been good. I haven’t got anything else from here so can’t comment on that.
A con!! Never biy the boned meat from here as they display the lean best bits at the top but sell you bone & grizzle. When I asked for the pieces at the top he refused to sell to me, both me & a lady next to me was raising the same concern. They will never get my custom again & I highly recommend that you don’t shop there as there intentions are sneaky & misleading!
Outside the shop at fruit and veg on display. Inside, the shop is separated in two main areas, fishmongers on the left and butchers on he right. At the back on are other grocery items such as dry food, seasoning and rice. They have various freezers placed inside for frozen fish and meat. The premises is bright and well-stocked, however they are lacking pricing labels, I'm not a fan of that at all because I feel like they could be quoting any price from thin air depending on who you are. What was priced is reasonable, including the fruit and veg.
Friendly staff, but at £5.00 for a bag of dead mussels (bar two) it's a bit steep!
Staff are rude and dismissive. I asked for the fish I wanted and the Edson serving me acknowledged with a mumble. I waited for about 7 minutes while he carried on about his business instead of getting my order (bare in mind there was only one other customer buying meat) walked out
