   SDA has been part of our family for 15 years, with both of my daughters attending weekly classes in ballet, pointes, tap, freestyle, contemporary and modern dance. They have also danced in the SDA performance troupes at many venues, including Birmingham Hippodrome, Blackpool Winter Gardens, NREA and Disneyland Paris. SDA has a wonderful family feel and pupils are given opportunities to take exams, perform in showcases at Stourbridge Town Hall and perform with Troupes. Principles Beverley and Katie and their fabulous team of dance teachers, offer a very warm welcome to both boys and girls wishing to participate in a wide variety of dance genres and gymnastics. Whether dancing for fun or looking to develop your dance further, SDA offers lots of support and encouragement to all. SDA is well known and respected in the local performing arts sector and in the wider performance industry.    5 stars – An Exceptional Dance School! My daughter has been attending Stourbridge Dance Academy since she was a toddler, and I can honestly say it’s been one of the best decisions we've ever made. From her very first class, she has loved going each week, taking part in disco, ballet, tap, gymnastics, and troupe performance sessions. The variety of classes keeps her excited and engaged, and the progress she’s made over the years has been incredible to watch. The teaching team – Bev, Katie, and Frankii – are truly outstanding. They are not only highly skilled and professional, but also incredibly warm, supportive, and genuinely caring with the children. They strike the perfect balance between nurturing their students and maintaining consistently high expectations, which creates such a positive and inspiring learning environment. The opportunities offered through troupe performances have been phenomenal. Dancing at Disneyland Paris and other large city venues has given my daughter unforgettable memories and boosted her confidence in ways I never imagined. I wouldn’t want her dancing anywhere else. Stourbridge Dance Academy feels like family, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality, supportive, and inspiring dance school for their child.

   My daughter joined Stourbridge Dance Academy over 5 years ago. She has achieved distinctions in all of her ballet, gymnastics and Contemporary exams over the years, which is a direct result of their excellent teaching standards. They work towards the N.A.T.D dance syllabus in a number of different dance styles, including ballet, pointes, contemporary, Acro/gymnastics, tap & street dance. She has had the opportunity to perform at a number of amazing venues including Stourbridge Town Hall, Birmingham Hippodrome, Blackpool Winter Gardens, O2 Arena & Disneyland Paris. One of the highlights is the friendship groups that the children make, they are encouraged to work together which makes for a great team spirit! Highly recommended!

   I have danced with Stourbridge dance academy from the age of 14 and grew up with excellent teaching in all subjects. I went on to achieve my associate levels in 3 subjects and since have joined adult classes to keep my fitness up. Both my girls have gone to academy and my oldest has gone on to do her dance degree and work for Disney. I cannot praise SDA enough for their professionalism and dedication to to each and every pupil. I would highly recommend SDA to anyone

   It looks like it could be very good for children who have no additional needs, but if your child is over enthusiastic/ASD/ADHD etc... You will likely be asked to take them away/have an unsuccessful time. I understand it is hard to have an over enthusiastic child in a room of a dozen kids with only half a dozen adults when your wanting them to do as instructed but they are struggling. It is up three flights of steep stairs and no lift so if you or your child has mobility issues this is also not great. Please note I am basing this review on two failed attempts to attend the ballet for 3 year olds, I havn't tried again as my little one was so distressed at being asked to leave (repeating the concern over and over daily for a month) I darnt risk trying again. Maybe it's better when they are older and more able to mask any additional needs/follow instructions.

   I started dancing myself with stourbridge Dance Academy when I was a young child and I danced there until I was 18 and gave birth to my oldest child. The staff, principle and vice principle are amazing. My 2 older children now dance at the Academy and love every second of it. My daughter does Tap, Ballet, Disco, Gymnastics and is now a member of 1 of the Amazing troupes they run for members of the academy and my son does Tap, Boys street dance & Gymnastics and although a lot of people assume dancing isn’t for boys....Stourbridge Dance Academy love to see boys in class and encourage them. They are NATD registered and students take part in exams regularly. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in starting dance from young children to teenager and even adults

   My children have danced here for years and I wouldn't take them anywhere else!! The Principal and staff are lovely!! My children (including my son who started in the boys only class and then progressed to other dance styles) have been given so many wonderful experienced they wouldn't have had if it wasn't for this fab place!!

   A brilliant and friendly dance studio offering a variety of class for ages 3+. Beverley has worked wonders to build this dance school to what it has become with over 30 years experience. She has trained dancer from a young age that have gone on to become professional dancers or open their own successful schools. She gives the pupils opportunities to perform as well as succeed in exams. Beverley and her team have taught my daughter for 8 years as well as teaching me for over 20 years. Her staff are excellent and friendly and always bring the best out of the dancers.

   What a wonderful place for kids to learn to dance and be active, our two boys love going there to dance and do gymnastics staff are friendly and helpful with a small shop for buying outfits and shoes. I only marked this down one star as payment is via cheque or cash, also it can be a little crowded between classes not a fault of the company just the layout of the building, a toilet is located just before getting into the waiting area.
