Since joining PQA, my daughters confidence has grown, she has made friends and always comes out with a smile on her face. She loves acting and singing and being given the chance to perform on the West End was an absolute highlight. Could not be happier with PQA!

My daughter has been attending this school since she started in poppets, aged 5. She is now going into year 8 and excited to start drama at her school, which thanks to this school is a subject she loves and excels in. We have seen a change of management and change of venue, and not once did we ever question the commitment to safety and experience from all teachers. The performance opportunities are amazing and the cinema screening was testimony to the dedication the staff put in to seeing each child has their moment and learn so much along the way. The academy principal and the team take extra effort to get to know each child, they greet them with big smiles every morning and are understanding to each individuals needs. We couldn’t be happier- we have a young girl at a tough age who has found her love for theatre and has something to look forward to every Saturday morning.

After my son went round trying out a few other places - no where else came close. He loves the film and tv element. Teachers are all welcoming and take time to get to know the kids and us as parents. Highly recommend

We sent our daughter here for a taster session and we were concerned about the lack of safeguarding measures in place for young children. Our daughter was 7 at the time (around September). The member of staff did not have our daughter on his list and so would have no record of her. She wasnt on the main register and I saw no handover of her details. They change from room to room, and building to building so noone else would have known she was meant to be there either. This worried me due to the fact there were cars driving through the school, no security and anyone can walk about the site and buildings. There was only one male member of staff for quite a large group. The toilets were in a separate building, across what is basically a road to the carpark and I've no idea how our daughter would have gone if she needed it. She didn't know where she was. We were never asked about medical or dietary requirements. My child was not made to feel welcome in the group. I was watching out of sight through a window to make sure she was OK before leaving and for 20 mins she was left standing in the middle of the room looking sad. It was only when I went to go and check on her that the teacher tried to do something. When I said I was taking her out, he was going to leave the whole group to come with me to find the lady running the day. He was going to leave the children with no adult in the building. I didn't allow this to happen. I'm so glad I didn't leave my daughter here and trusted my instincts as this alone is concerning. I have since spoken to Stagecoach in Kidderminster and they have a much better approach and do things like call the register, assign a support person to younger children, ask for medical and dietary info as well as emergency contacts, make sure children can't get out of the building unaccompanied, have toilets in the same building, offer a 10 min visit prior to the taster day etc...all the sort of basic safeguarding you'd expect to be in place in today's world. We did try and report this to the academy but didn't get any reassurance which is why I've decided to leave this review. Someone needs to inspect the place to make sure young children in particular are being taken care of. I was shocked.
