The dark haired lady was rude to us. Stood outside the shop looked at us waiting to be served then proceeded to go back to talking to what appeared to be a friend. We had to shout excuse me of which she replied use the self service checkout. If we wanted to use the self serve checkouts we would have and not waited for her to acknowledge our existence.
Always an afternoon bargain here, after 17:30. Has to be a favourite stopping place for UK professional lorry drivers. It would be even better if M&S could own the services outright and run it as a dedicated truck park.
Fish and chips at EDC Awful dry overcooked
I had a £30 e-gift voucher so thought I'd pop in and use it. After loading up my shopping with various things I got to the till. It turns out that I can't use an M&S e-gift voucher at this m&s for some unknown reason. I ended up leaving half the stuff but it was an inconvenience. I bought a few of their ready meals, the quality seems to have dropped a lot since I last bought from them quite a few years ago. Also, the packaging is over the top so more stuff for landfill. I thought M&S was meant to be quality? Guy at the till was excellent though, he tried everything he could to get the voucher to work.
Great food as always from M and S. There were a number of special offers on when we were there. A number of products were reduced so it was excellent value. There is access for disabled visitors, prams and buggies. The staff here are very helpful and polite. There are meals for one and for families too. This is a good store to keep top up your shopping on your way home.
