Jim was the DJ for our work’s Christmas Do recently. I contacted him 3 months ago to make the booking and he was very professional and easy to reach. He came highly recommended by a friend and I can understand why. Our office party was fantastic and everybody asked where I had found the DJ. He knew how to please the party goers and kept the dance floor busy all night. Very polite, professional and had some great equipment plus a wide variety of tunes. Role on next year!
Right from the time of booking the service was brilliant. The playlist we gave was played and all our requests which had us having a great time on the dancefloor and mixed so well. Attended a party with this DJ, who was absolutely useless. Refused to take requests which wouldn’t have been the worst thing in the world but his choices were terrible. Many times people complained and nothing changed. If he’s your only choice save your money and choose Spotify instead.
We booked disco’s yorkshire for my daughters 21st birthday party and ended up being very disappointed with the service we were provided. The man who we spoke with several times on the phone was not the same man who turned up. We had to realise this ourselves as the man who came in person never addressed this. We were left with the impression that the DJ who was meant to be attending for some reason decided not to and sent a someone else (who was clearly not an experienced DJ by any means) to fill in. This man forgot his laptop with all the music on it and so put on a random CD while he went home to get it. Prior to the night we had filled out one of the online booking forms clearly setting out our music preferences as 70s/80s/90s/pop. For the first few hours the only music that was played was recent chart music that no one particularly enjoyed. My daughter then had to go and ask the man to play more of an all round mix like we had asked for. Even then the man struggled to come up with ideas of 70s/80s music and even asked my daughter for examples. Because of this barely anyone got up and danced as the music was so poor. We even specifically set out on the booking form that we did not want any “cheesey” songs but the man played the ‘baby shark’ song which was not appreciated by anyone. To make matters worse, when party guests went up to request songs we were told he was rather blunt and unfriendly. A very unprofessional and disappointing service which we will definitely not be recommending to anyone in the future.
