Staff are usually friendly and helpful. Sadly on this occasion today they were not. Be sure to check the price of the item on the shelf and the actual price at the till as several times now the price has been higher. So check your receipt.

Convenient, small, succinct, can be busy Coop (Oxford Road Manchester) is nestled within a new development which tactfully showcases modern inner-city design. It’s essentially located within the university of Manchester, making it a convenient lunch time or before/after work stop for students and academics (particularly those situated north of University Place) looking for a quick and easy lunch (the meal deal costs £4.00 for non-members, which is currently very average value). While it is conveniently situated, it can often get busy at peak times (which realistically are the only times it’s user base will visit). A saving grace for this is the fast self-checkouts with no bagging area (pictured), which has clearly been well thought out out to tailor to these fast lunchtime visits and maintain a high throughput in these busy lunchtime scenarios. On my latest visit I was displeased to hear upselling of Co-ops own brand of water on the PA system through advertisements, rather than relaxing lunch time music. I was also disappointed when I came to exit to find the automatic door was not only dysfunctional, but had not been propped open for the users convenience (which would’ve been excusable if temperatures outside were colder). I understand this may be for environmental reasons as it is an air conditioned shop, so I can forgive this tactical decision in the current climate crisis. In terms of the products, as is the case with all Co-ops, things are reasonable in value and quality. I would say it is distinctly average for both of these. It is generally well stocked, though I think they are falling short by the size of the bakery section (pictured) which could be larger and better stocked (almost sold out at 13:15) and I’m sure would be appreciated by the visitors.

This service is very very rubbish!!! I’m so angry with employee and manager. They are not nice and neither empathy. When I buy for paracetamol but they needs proof of passport. I showed them on my iPhone mobile of provisional driving license. They still refused and need proof of passport. This making me angry. I told them I need them because I have headache and can’t focus on learning. They still no empathy and refused. I will NEVER come back again! I will tell anyone to not come there!!!!

Meal deals are bangin. Got a security guard that looks like an empty head bouncer too, always cracks me up.

This is a small convenience store and very handy. It's everything that you would expect to find in a co-op, foods, drinks and a tobacco kiosk. It's a bit busy because of where it is but that's not a problem.

Small Co-op location: has a one way system, plenty of self-service machines and a large section for the meal deal (including a variety of sandwiches).

Terrible staff. Consistntly asking me to presenting ID in a agressive manner while I'm doing so. Showing him the Yoti digital ID, which clearly says is accepted at Co-Op, the staff rudely rejects it. Being annoyed by such behaviour I decided not to buy any more, and from this moment the staff behaved like I am some criminal and started mumble something. Will never use this shop again.

Came here to grab this coffee, then later went to Spar, and Sainsbury's, found out this coffee is way more expensive from coop. £6 from coop, £2 from Spar and £2.20 ish from Sainsbury's. Most of things from coop are way more expensive than other places. The shop is spacious and clean, but the staffs didn't do their job properly. There were two girls in the shop without mask, and all the staffs didn't even bother to tell them "mask on or leave" even they seen it.. it's really unbearable during this pandemic. Some people just don't follow the rules that government ask for, and some don't even care.
