Good venue for some drinks and decent music. Door staff are often respectful and in my 15 years of going xoyo ive never had a problem with them. Great for a random night out.

XOYO clearly doubles as both a club and a gig venue, a dual identity that maybe isn't quite sitting as well as it could. We went to a gig and it's a nice venue for small band. The shape of the room and location of the stage means not everyone can see properly if it's full, which isn't ideal. But we got a good spot and enjoyed it. Beer selection can only be described as total pants. The potentially cool atmosphere is rather undermined by the tacky TVs advertising red bull, giving it the feel of a regional nightclub of the early 2000s, rather than the (theoretically) beating heart of Shoreditch.

We shouldn't have gone. It was a mistake. We bought tickets, Β£5 pp but I even Β£0.00 would have been too much. Security was amazingly tight. mug photos. talking to "the manager". confiscating our candies. passports. the lot. all that for a tiny crowd of roughly 23 people. And they kept the door open all night. in november. it was freezing. I think the staff has the belief the club is popular. but it obviously isnt. We live in benidorm, and here it is easy to get spoiled. no entrance fees. no security checks. great atmosphere. good fun. all the stuff that was missing here. but, the djs were good.

Have only been to XOYO for day events. So imagine this is a different experience. Have always found the security to be mostly polite and helpful. Allowed to bring your own water bottle and have it refilled at the bar. Bar seems to mostly have polycarbonate cups but not always. As there is no food available in the club people should be allowed to bring sealed snack bars etc as events are often for 9+ hours. Sound volume can be quite high so pack your music ear plugs. Toilets are in need of a refresh, some of the doors donβt lock and toilet seats are the wrong shape or missing. But it is rare to have much of a queue. But we go because the events / music we love are amazing with the best crowd.

I came here in June for SXSW festival. - Thorough security/ id and bag/body check - lights are pretty bright - genderless bathrooms - Aircon pretty good - wood flooring (can rly feel the bass in your feet) - toilets have variety of mirrors - 19+ on Friday + Saturday - NO single person entry - seating on sides - got flashbanged constantly - really dark toilet cubicles

One of the most boring music (maybe jt was this night so) and one of the most boring environments. Nice people were there but the overall vibe of the club was a cut off. Had to get drinks just to donβt get too bored. I have seen last night so many people like trying to be strong and face the situation with energy. Something better is desiderabile

Went to XOYO for NYE and was disappointed. Music was below average (it was the same beat on repeat). The basic double shot drink I got cost me Β£13. The bar service was also poor, it was a busy night as it was close to midnight and one of the three bartenders was on her phone behind the bar in clear view of the customers. The security to get into the club was like airport security with ticket checks (twice), ID checks (twice) and bag and person searches. They also chose who went in, who had to go through extra checks etc. as a female, I was allowed through without a second glance but other people (specifically men) had to go through extra checks. As soon as the timer went off for the new year, everyone wanted to leave. There was no system to collect coats and security was yelling at people to move out of the way of entrances even though there was no where to go. We had to wait more than thirty minutes to get our coats and the people working in the cloakroom didnβt seem to care or realise that there was a massive line. For all the security and poor service, the club wasnβt even as busy as what was expected on NYE. I wouldnβt recommend this club to anyone as XOYO was one of the worst club experiences Iβve ever had.

Club is okay at best, mega expensive for the dull atmosphere and average sound system, but it is London so expected. Worst of all - Door staff are weird, pervy and very rude. They'll pick and choose who they want to let through (women) and treat everyone else as the enemy. Power complex. So many better London clubs.

Warning : purchasing an ALL-Night ticket do not grant you access all-night, doors are closed at 2 AM. We managed to get in last minute and had a good night. Music is good on Pleasurehood nights (Saturdays). Crowd is below 25. Drinks are priced 13 euros.
