Looking at the other reviews this shan’t be a shock. I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the Superdrug on Market Street and will not be returning. We came in knowing exactly what we needed and had been in the store for no more than 30 seconds when we were abruptly told, in an assertive and rude manner, to go to the till. After walking barely five steps, we were told again this time in a very condescending tone that the tills close at 8pm so we “couldn’t make any payments.” This is simply untrue, as the tills were still working. Giving customers false information just to rush them out goes against the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, which are meant to stop businesses from misleading customers. If a store wants to stop serving customers before closing time, that should be clearly and honestly explained. Customers who are already in the store before closing are still entitled to be treated fairly and with basic respect. Because of how uncomfortable the situation felt, we made our way to the till anyway. While doing so, a third member of staff looked us up and down and rudely told us that we “needed to leave.” We explained that we had already been told three times and were literally heading to the till at that moment. The experience at the tills was even worse. No smile, no customer service, and our items were scanned and thrown onto the counter, showing a complete lack of care or professionalism. By this point it was around 7:57pm, so clearly staff wanting to close mattered more than treating customers decently. It genuinely felt like the staff were ganging up on us. As we were leaving, the first two staff members were huddled together talking about the remaining customers, which just summed up the attitude in the store. I understand retail can be frustrating I’ve worked in retail myself but that does not excuse being rude, misleading, or unprofessional. You’d expect better standards, especially from someone who appeared to be a manager, but this seems to reflect the overall standards at the Superdrug Market Street store. Very fitting. Disgusting attitude. Won’t be returning to Superdrug.

The customer service that works in the morning on Mondays are honestly so rude. I asked a simple question and they spoke to me like as if I was bothering them AT THEIR JOB. Fix your attitude please or find a new job its actually ridiculous

Came today to view the le male jean Paul fragrance (black bottle) the lady that served me was super rude the whole experience I was came through the whole interaction, I explained could I see a 75ml for reference, I understand if you don't have something but the way I was spoken to and looked at wasn't the greatest experience. For reference the lady who served me she has a head covering she seemed very approachable but after the interaction I don't feel the same way. It may have been not the way I viewed the interaction but will probably not feel as confident to ask for help next time.

I went in as I’d been referred from NHS direct to get a emergency prescription because I’m going on holiday tomorrow and realised I didn’t have enough medication for while I’m away. The lady at the pharmacy counter sighed when I told her and rolled her eyes when I asked her to repeat herself because my hearing isn’t great. Really poor service

Extremely unprofessional customer service. On 22nd of July, a young woman (I didn’t catch her name) deliberately scanned the items for the customer ahead of me very slowly, even though she knew I was in a hurry to catch my coach. When I politely mentioned it, she became rude. Instead of addressing her behavior, the team leader sided with her and was confrontational toward me as well. I’ve worked in retail and have never witnessed such disrespect. This staff clearly needs proper customer service training, because this was unacceptable.

Terrible customer service, sold the wrong product, only to be told I cannot refund it as the seal is broken. No accountability taken from store staff, no avenue to raise a complaint. And the attire manager Waz doesn’t seem to know how to offer a professional customer service.

My mum and dad went to here to look for some Christmas presents and they went to pay with Christmas vouchers which they gave to a youngish guy behind the till until a supervisor came and said to my parents we don't take vouchers to which my mum replied 'well its on the voucher that says your stores name on' (these vouchers are park love to shop Christmas vouchers) then the supervisor took the voucher from the till clerk and looked and said in a snotty tone we do not take them anymore we haven't for 5 years, a simple I am sorry for the inconvenience but we don't take them anymore would've done but she made my mum and dad feel like they weren't wanted there and made them feel like dirt even lower than dirt they are in their 50's and 60's and are always polite and friendly and didn't deserve to be treated like that by someone way younger than them, on a positive note the young lad behind the till was excellent for customer service but that supervisor needs sacking, if you are near this shop don't bother with vouchers as the supervisor there will make you feel embarrassed and feel low overall worst place to go if your after a good shopping experience.

I bought a shaver from here recently that developed a fault but unfortunately i had misplaced my receipt so I returned it to the store to see if they could possibly swap it. The manager didn't even have the decency to come to the till and instead instructed a worker through the headset. After a few minutes of back and forth exchanges I decided to ask them to dispose of the shaver. Basic customer service wouldnt of harmed anyone.I definitely won't be buying anything from here again. Awful service!

Its a good pharmacy but untidy and the customer service was not good, The lanes were narrow , also not all the products available, but there is a big pharmacy section and beauty, i cant say its bad but its an average pharmacy.
