Our daughter has been having ballet lessons at YBI for over 2.5 years now and absolutely loves it. She adores Miss Lucy and often mentions that she's the best teacher she's ever had for any sport/activity. Miss Lucy seems to know exactly how to get the best from her students while making it incredibly fun and enjoyable for all. Such a special find.
Yorkshire Ballet Institute is such a great place to learn ballet whether a complete beginner, experienced adult or child. The new studio is such a lovely environment and Miss Lucy is an amazing teacher. My daughter has loved learning ballet, progressing through grades whilst enjoying the experience and having fun.
I had never danced before but started ballet with Lucy at YBI in my late 50’s. I could never have imagined how much ballet would become such an important part of my life. Lucy is an inspirational and incredibly patient teacher. Her encouragement, positivity and enthusiasm to help us all improve just makes us want to work all the harder. Lucy has worked so hard to create a wonderful studio. It is a really special place to dance. There are lots of classes to choose from so whatever level you are, there is a class for you. I would wholeheartedly recommend YBI.
My daughter has been attending lessons at YBI for 3 years under the expert, professional, kind and gentle guidance of the wonderful Miss Lucy. YBI has become a little haven for my daughter and I, she loves her Saturday morning lessons which are that perfect combination of fun and expert guidance in a nurturing environment. The calming/comfortable waiting room and professional well equipped studios are beautiful. I have also enjoyed some adult ballet workshops which I couldn’t recommend enough. Miss Lucy makes ballet accessible to all but with the added bonus of being a true artist herself you know you’re in good hands. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
I recommend Yorkshire Ballet Institute to any adult from complete beginner to accomplished dancer. Each member of the group is warmly welcomed and made to feel at ease. Lucy has the ability to teach ballet technique whilst making her classes so much fun. The benefits of Lucy’s classes are many from physical to mental and social. As a complete novice in her late sixties when starting ballet class, this is the best class I have ever done. PS. She teaches children too!
