A wonderful book shop, with a fantastic events space at the back. We go every year to see Santa and regularly for other events like author readings (Alex Milway of Hotel Flamingo was a real highlight). The staff are great and always make super recommendations. An absolute Crouch End treasure.

This is such a gem of a place. With space at the back for events, there always seems to be something happening; book signings, Santa's grotto, clubs, singalongs. It's really a community hub and a welcoming space for small book worms. The staff are really friendly, even when it gets busy. My kids love coming here, and they love reading. I feel really lucky we have a place like this so close by.

Came here for Santa's grotto. Really rude, moody elf. As a minority parent, if you want to be treated like you just swam across the channel, I'd recommend coming here. Suggest going to the mall in wood green for grotto unless you're white, middle class and so so liberal
We held my daughter's fourth birthday party here with 12 friends. The party leader was outstanding! She ran the themed storytime and related craft activity, afternoon tea, traditional party games and disco with such enthusiasm! The kids really enjoyed themselves and she was very attentive ensuing each child was included in the fun.
We had such a great time at Pickled Pepper Enfield's Gruffalo party. The team clearly know their stuff when it comes to entertaining little ones and kept an audience of mixed-ages happy and engaged. Really appreciated the level of personal service too, the booksellers made an effort to engage with every child there and helped them all pick out a book to take home. The space is lovely and laid back, you could happily hang out here with a coffee while your kids browse and read on the beanbags. Do go and check it out!
Great books, amazing customer service and in my neighborhood. What's not to love?! When we moved to the UK from California one of the main attractions to Crouch End was this bookstore!! Urmi showed such friendliness and great service, we knew we could make this our future home. They are so much more than just a children's bookstore! I'm always asking for random cook books that they are able to source for me. This is my go to store whenever I need a book and bonus- they gift wrap too!!!!! Great when you need a book to hand out at school pick up!
