   I used Stephensons Solicitors for conveyancing both as a buyer and a seller, and on both occasions the service was poor. On the sale, I was sent multiple incorrect completion statements and would have been overcharged by around £500 had I not checked the figures myself. Communication was very frustrating I repeatedly had to chase for responses, and messages from the sellers solicitors were not passed on to me, causing unnecessary confusion. When the errors were raised, the response from the partner involved Robert was rude and unhelpful. Even the final statement on the house purchase contained mistakes, including an inflated stamp duty figure, and I was then asked to pay an incorrect balance and then they tried to charge me to have the overpayment returned by bank transfer. I would not recommend this firm for conveyancing. If you do use them, double-check every statement rather than assuming the figures are correct and know that you will have to chase this company to push the sale and purchase along as I did not find them to be a proactive rather very reactive. This is my very first negative review if I could give 0 stars I would.

   We’ve thankfully never used Stephenson’s directly, but their failure to do their due diligence on a previous sale has just cost us 6 weeks and an extra £2500 in SDLT. Go with someone who’ll do the job properly.

   Izabela and Karen dealt with our purchase and sale. Previous experience when buying a house was horrendous struggling to get in touch with solicitors and gain information but this time it was the polar opposite. Izabela was great at responding and kept us informed/answering the many questions we had throughout the process incredibly quickly. In a very stressful few months having a solicitor who you can contact and is competent makes everything that little bit easier and we would recommend 100%. Fees were also very competitive too!

   I have used Stephensons for various legal matters including conveyancing and Will making. Laura dealt with my will very quickly and efficiently. I was also pleasantly surprised with the cost, as it was a complicated affair. I cannot recommend Stephensons highly enough.

It was a great pleasure to deal with Izabela, a beautiful lady indeed, very clever and so much friendly who replies at once, pity we have finalised the deal when finally I have moved into my new property yet would like to wish all "Stephensons" staff and Izabela in person, all the best. Am sure am not the only one to express opinion that Izabela no doubt, the best of all trust me, have met few solicitors in my Life none can compete to her. Initial instruction to completion was super quick - approximately 10 weeks. I wouldn't use anyone else now.
