Rating: 5/5 Title: Five out of Five Stars – Proper community spirit, done well I have visited St Luke’s Community Centre for workshops, meetings, and the café, and it consistently sets a high bar for what a local community space should be. The building is well laid out, welcoming, and clearly designed to be used properly rather than just looked at. The staff are warm, organised, and genuinely helpful, whether you are booking rooms, attending training, or just dropping in for lunch. Communication is clear and efficient, and on busier days everything still runs smoothly without feeling rushed. The café deserves particular mention for its fresh, home-style food at very reasonable prices, and there is a relaxed atmosphere that encourages people to stay rather than rush off. It feels lived-in in the best way, with families, professionals, and locals all sharing the space comfortably. It is a rare example of a community centre that genuinely serves its community rather than just hosting it.

We used two meeting rooms at St Luke's to film 20 interviews in a day! The staff were so helpful and let us crack on. All catering was on time with a great selection. Thank you to Kelley for being great over email communications and a pleasure to chat to on the day. We would definitely recommend!

I went for a training (CPD) with the London Symphony Orchestra. Brilliant experience in making music. Tara, Paul Griffin and the team were epic!

This Community Centre is a MUST for anyone who is feeling down or lonely... I went there for curiosity because I heard that it would lift my moods up to where they once were. Not only has it done that, but it is more than just a communal building; the Canteen has food second to none, the Staff are warm and friendly, and you meet some interesting people there, who welcome all newcomers! They have lots of things to occupy your're time, from Sewing Classes to Snooker! I would thoroughly recommend this establishment to anyone who wants to feel good after spending some time there.

A functional, thriving community centre in the true sense of the word. We just need places like this for youth again now. St Luke’s sets a great example

I came here recently to receive my COVID-19 booster vaccination a few weeks ago and was treated poorly by staff, accused of lying and turned away. I was not able to provide my proof of eligibility on the spot - my fault, which I acknowledge, but didn't expect to be asked for it as I had not had to with previous vaccinations. I was told by the lady greeting people almost immediately that without it they would not be vaccinating me. Another gentleman was brought over who I assume to be a healthcare professional, he asked me why I thought I was eligible for this vaccine. I explained that I had received numerous texts/emails from NHS and my GP surgery to book a COVID booster, and that I typically get these early because of underlying health conditions. When I told him the health conditions I have they both shook their heads and just said 'No'? I asked for further explanation and was then accused of inputting 'false information' to the form which allowed me to book the appointment, which I did not do. I have no reason to lie to receive an early vaccination, and no one on site made an attempt to check my medical information which would have shown my GP recommended this vaccination for me. I don't enjoy getting vaccinated, but as I feel I need to take responsibility for my health, took unpaid time out of my working day to do so. It was a complete waste and I felt incredibly dismissed by the staff who showed a real lack of respect for me. I was really taken aback by the whole encounter and left in tears. Will not be returning.
