The Place is a great theatre space, especially for families. Itβs an easy walk from St Pancras or Euston, so getting there is straightforward even with kids. They put on good, affordable family programmes, and the atmosphere is relaxed. Thereβs a bar and a seating area for pre-show, which makes waiting around much easier. The theatre itself isnβt huge, but thatβs a plus β the seating is well laid out, and you get a clear view of the stage from pretty much anywhere. Only thing to note: no parking, so public transport is your best bet. Overall, a solid venue for family theatre and accessible performances, with friendly staff and a convenient central location.

A great venue for professional and new dancers! We love to come to the family events they host on half terms or holidays. Our most recent visit was to see the Speedwell Dance production of The Mountain Witch.. a fun story told through story, sound and movement. And the best part was that the little ones were encouraged to join in the story. We also loved the snacks and drinks in the venue cafΓ©..yumm.

Saw a childrenβs show here over the weekend, and initially the found the staff at the venue to be welcoming and polite. Being a children's show, as you can imagine Children were in and out of the theatre to use the bathroom most of the play, I had to get up several times to let people in and out, no problem as I was here with my four-year-old and completely understand. The staff working the theatre do not however. I left to take my 4 year old to the bathroom and then was told I could not go back into the show through the door I came out of, despite seeing people doing it the whole play, we had to go through the backdoor on the upper levels and was told I would have to sit on the backroom to finish watching the play and could not return to my row C, next to my wife, due to health and safety. What utter rubbish. I, of course, completely ignored the staff and their silly, ignorant rules and sat next to my wife again and managed to do this without dying or breaking a leg. Staff really needs to relax on their approach to how children and families are handled at this venue. Put bit of a dampener on the evening for me having to deal with pretentious staff and them applying rules arbitrary.

Plays music extremely loudly even at weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Has no regard for those who live next to it. Breaking noise pollution laws and completely uncooperative

The Place is an incredible place to learn contemporary dance. With a great range of classes at all levels and styles. The team running The Place care a great deal about putting on programmes of activity that reflect the needs of their participants, recruiting the best teachers. Classes are always enjoyable and uplifting, while still being technically challenging. I have a huge amount of time for The Place and I'd absolutely recommend it for anyone looking for contemporary dance classes.

I have been The Place in total of 3 times, I like it. Its canteen is very reasonable and comfortable. Very close from Euston station. It is a bit difficult to find if you come from Kings Cross, but it is just next to Premier Inn of Duke Street behind a big church you can see from just outside Euston station. The theatre is a good size, easy to see from front row to middle row. I never sat at the back so I am not sure but I imagine it would be also good view. The theatre is a pit style so the stage is lowest and seats are going up gradually. Only thing I do not like about the location is that Euston Road is so heavy traffic all the time so it is frustrating to cross the road. Need to cross about 4 traffic lights to get the place from the station. And some traffic lights do not change for long time even there is not much traffic. With a child , it gets me nervous each time. They do an open day around the end of July every year, we went only once but that was totally inspiring and fun. My daughter learned about Maddy Ziggler from that day. We also saw a beatiful dance + theatre , a story about βa fish is getting so big to eat the worldβ. That was very good. We should have more shows like that for kids ( something not a Christmas panto, not just a comedy but inspiring / beautiful, not too expensive and most importantly not too long!!!) But many workshops looked like mostly for under 6, so my daughter might be a bit too old now. I went to see Zoonation Academy's Christmas show the other day here and it was excellent (I did not have any relatives or somebody I know in the show). Highly recommend it !

Great theatre!!! The management is commendable. There are some of the best shows in London at this theatre. You canβt get it wrong. Around this theatre are great restaurants for after show food and drinks. I had a great time watching a late night dance show by a trio. It was a demonstrative dance. There are also a variety of parking options including street parking within a reasonable distance.
