I’ve never reviewed a tattoo shop but I had to. Amazing shop, great atmosphere. Dan and Stephen were very friendly and welcoming. And the shop itself is so cool.
Dan did incredible work, I’m visiting from the states and wanted to get something to remember the trip! His designs are beautiful and he worked so fast. Him and Stephen are great, even went and had a pint with them after! The tattoo parlour itself is gorgeous, immediately I walked in and was just amazed. Lucky to have found this place xx
The first time I went in was my first time in Manchester. I came in as a customer and got a tattoo from Stephen. The following year, I came in as a tattoo artist, and Stephen and Dan are two fantastic people. I visited the museum with "RAMBO" and it was absolutely incredible. The studio is unique, the atmosphere is sensational. If you don't know or visit Rambo's, you don't know what tattooing is! For me, it's the best studio/museum.
One of the greats of The UK, an iconic tattoo parlor with the most talented trio of artists currently working. Such a friendly and welcoming bunch of people who make you feel like family. Such an honor to be tattooed by Dan. I advise anyone to come down and get tattooed by these amazing people.
Love getting tattooed here - each time has been brilliant and I’m already booked in again for a few weeks’ time. I’ve been tattooed by Stephen Byrne and he’s been extremely professional and friendly - he’s gone above and beyond to ensure I am happy with each tattoo. The shop itself is so iconic and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the art of tattooing. Located in Manchester’s NQ makes it easy to get to and there’s lots of great food, drink, shopping etc. nearby. Highly recommend.
Got a traditional tattoo by Stephen. Was made to feel very welcome and felt at ease straight away. The tattoo design I got was great and he designed it to my personal preference. There was also much amazing flash on the wall to chose from. It healed so well. So happy with it! Thanks so much. Will definitely be going back! On of the best traditional tattoo shops in town!
Stephen and Dan are both extremely talented and professional tattooists. I've been tattooed by Stephen multiple times and would always go back for more. So happy with my tattoos and had a great experience. The shop is an important part of tattoo history and a must visit for anyone interested in the history.
I visited Rambo’s because I’ve always wanted a traditional tattoo and Stephen came highly recommended. The studio itself is an amazing space from the tiger at the front door, up the hand painted stairway and into studio through the stained glass doors. There’s lots of flash to choose from and after a quick chat with Stephen we came up with a design I was happy with. The atmosphere was relaxed with some friendly chit chat and I felt totally at ease throughout the whole process. I was so happy with the piece that I returned for a second one after seeing a design shared on Instagram. I can’t recommend Rambo’s highly enough. Nice people, great tattoos and I’m now 100% cooler.
I’ve been coming to Rambo’s for around 3 years Since Stephen took over. I’ve had tattoo’s from several shops but I keep coming back here. This shop and in particular Stephen is an under appreciated advocate for tattooing. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with coming here with the unique decor (real stuffed tiger included) and with the shops friendliness and professionalism. I would recommend this shop all day long.
I’ve been going to Rambo’s for tattoos from Stephen for around 18 months now and each piece has been incredible. Stephen Byrne is a true gent, always good company and an awesome tattooist. The studio is steeped in history and it’s an honour to go back every 6 weeks or so to add to my collection. The recent addition of Dan Allen is an excellent one (another artist I also have work from) who unique take on traditional is bold and fun. If you’re looking for bold, bright and long lasting stickers, you can’t go wrong with either of the artists currently looking after one of Manchester’s most iconic studios.
