Why does the London campus not invest in improving the quality of its courses? Why are many modules outdated and poorly aligned with today’s business reality? A business school that does not offer proper analytics or data-driven modules feels completely disconnected from the modern market. The campus often feels neglected and not taken seriously. Many young students are attracted here with high expectations, only to later realise they could have studied elsewhere and truly developed their skills and potential. Instead, I have seen too many students become discouraged and lose confidence after understanding they made the wrong choice by enrolling at ARU London. A serious change in management at LCA is needed. The current approach is failing students, especially those who arrive full of motivation and ambition, only to feel misled and unsupported once inside the system. YOUNG PEOPLE WANT TO LEARN AND STUDY, NOT WASTE TIME! PLEASE!!!!! CHANGE THE MANAGEMENT, LECTURES AND QUALITY.... ALL STUDENT KNOW AND IS AWARE ABOUT WHATS GOING ON IN FRANCHISE UNIVERSITY.... PLEASE!

I studied Business with Marketing at ARU between 2021–2024. I had the best time here, I made friends for life, learned so much, and found so many opportunities to get involved. During my time at ARU, I completed a summer internship with the university, I was President of the Squash Team for three years, and I worked part-time for the website team throughout my final year. These experiences helped me grow both personally and professionally, and made my university journey incredibly rewarding. I would definitely recommend studying at ARU. If you choose it, I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Excellent university with very high-quality teaching and dedicated teachers. It has a vibrant community and an incredible student support system. I loved studying here; I learned so much and felt prepared to apply for jobs or, if I wished, to expand my business (they truly support you with extracurricular activities and courses ranging from entrepreneurship to employability). They genuinely care about your wellbeing, career, and how much you can learn and implement your knowledge.

This university is a debt trap. As many have mentioned before, this is mostly a business (which can be expected from private universities with insane fees - I would say it is not even worth 20% of the actual fees). On top of everything, there are insane levels of incompetence, lack of accountability, immorality and structure. Furthermore, the current job market is a joke, having no way to even get to an interview without nepotism (which goes hand in hand with the "Letter of Recommendation" system). In a desperate attempt to become relevant, they are pushing IT students (kind of forcing their hands) into creating any AI-related research, stating that these are the final project subjects proposed by "the industry" (of course, "the industry" and the universities - especially private ones - have the same goals, and the students and their needs do not matter). It should not be possible that in Web Application Development nothing specific is taught about APIs, for example. At the same time, assignments are made so that almost everyone can pass, but the way they mark makes no sense and it points towards unfairness and subjective approach. If people with software development experience in several different programming languages get approximately the same marks as people who know nothing about software development and can barely use basic Linux commands, what does that tell you? In conclusion, the university gets a lot of money, you are basically forced into doing the research they need (they get their hands on more Intellectual Property), you go through a lot of stress for some useless "education" that you could learn in few months using free source resources, you are promised a much better chance at landing a decent job, but you end up unemployed while people with far less skills get jobs through nepotism or just by showing obedience. Let us not forget that by trying to keep marks as low as possible, the university most likely tries to portrait itself as exclusive/elite. To quote Noam Chomsky, "real education is about getting people involved in thinking for themselves", while at this university things are something like "follow our commands blindly if you want to pass (even if you are better than some of our assistants)". Let us also not forget that the state of the education system should be the foundation of the future. Who is to say whose future, though? It seems like "the industry's".

ARU Cambridge is a fantastic and modern university where I thoroughly enjoyed my time. I completed my master’s degree at the business school, which has excellent lecturers and teaching standards. Cambridge offers world-class facilities for students, and the environment is truly inspiring for learning.

After paying fees they won't give any interviews After a long time they will take an interview and surely we will fail that's their policy... And we won't get fees refunded until we beg them for an year So please please please... I repeat don't fall in their trap

I did my PhD here. This is a business more than a university. Expect a lack of support and to have the worst prolonged struggle of your life (emotionally, financially, professionally..). Only go here if you are desperate and have no other option. I wish I had read this review before attending! If you are thinking about doing a PhD here, you should know that there are Associate Lecturers at the university that are homeless. As in, they literally live in a tent in one of the local fields. When I was an ASL, I would have to do deliveroo and work at pizza hut to make ends meet. So I would teach in the day then go work at the local pizza hut! I dreaded the possibility of seeing my students there (and Cambridge is a small place so the likelihood of that was pretty high). I'm saying this to paint a picture of what you should expect. I would also say, look into the colleagues in your department and the reputation they have in the community. Again, I wish I did this before hand. Of course, academia is a small world and you get known by association, so make sure they are not leaders of a pseudoscience field.

I am a graduate. Have been emailing them for so many days for something URGENT and they just ignore me it’s unbelievable. Apart from when I was studying and missing classes because they couldn’t have my timetable ready

The ARU did not manage to enroll me as an international student. They simply forgot me which concluded into me not being able to apply for a visa as well as accommodation, additionally I am now wasting 1 semester waiting to enroll myself for another university because it’s now too late to enroll somewhere else. Not only have I given up my apartment as well as my job in order to move to Cambridge I am also now not able to finish my studies in standard period of time, which in general is reducing the quality of my final degree. It has been nothing but stressful to apply as well as to contact someone from the university who could help me. All of my emails haven’t been responded to and no calls have been picked up from November 2022 until January 2023. For everyone wanting to go to Cambridge save yourself the stress and go somewhere worth seeing. Gabriel Anisiei
