   My son has been attending Kick Boxing in Castleford for about 6 months now and loves it. He is thriving and really embraces the classes. Its a welcoming and friendly environment to both the kids and parents with a great combination of fun, discipline and form.

   My son has recently started at Phoenix Martial Arts Castlford after been recommend via two of his school friends parents who attend the class. My little boy is full of energy and struggles with his listening skills and can get distracted easily which then leads to him causing distraction to others. He attends a swim class that most of the time he was told off and sat on the side for not listening, so I was very reluctant to sign him up for anymore classes, but I'm glad I did. Since joining my little boy has thrived, he does the class and is not disruptive, is not told off for his behaviour and listens to what Mrs &Mr Stead tells him to do, and this has had an affect on his behaviour at home and even at his swim class where he is no longer disruptive in his lesson, no longer sat on side and is showing improvement on a weekly basis. I can't thank Mrs Stead enough for the support and help that she has provided and continues to provide to me and my son as she had confidence that he would do well in the classes and she was right.

   My son has been with Phoenix Castleford since he was 5, he has grown in confidence from a shy little boy that wouldn’t speak to now a 9 year old blue belt that regularly competes in tournaments, sparring classes and now has chosen and signed up to the junior leadership course to progress. This is all down to Mr and Mrs Stead giving him the confidence to go further and to push himself. As a family we can’t thank you both enough. Anyone thinking of joining do it! You and you child/ren will not regret it. Our youngest son will also be joining when he’s old enough.

   My little boy has been attending karate classes at Phoenix Castleford for nearly 6 months. I wanted these lessons to grow his confidence and teach him some self discipline and that is exactly what they have done. Mr & Mrs Stead made us feel welcome from the start…they are friendly, professional and so kind and caring with the kids. My little boy’s confidence has come on leaps and bounds and that was proven when he did his first grading when Mrs Stead said how proud she was of him and how confident he was when he did it. We are now proud members of the Phoenix family and community and would recommend them in a heartbeat for anyone of any age wanting to learn martial arts. Thank you so much Mr & Mrs Stead, you are amazing!

   I attend Phoenix Martial Arts Castleford with my husband and our 2 children. We have found the academy to be welcoming and inclusive regardless of age, fitness level or ability. Mr and Mrs Stead have high professional standards, strive for excellence, and this is evident in the quality of teaching. The philosophy of the academy supports us as parents in helping our children to develop resilience, self-discipline, determination, respect, self-belief and to have a “can do attitude”. My husband and I have found the lessons a great way to unwind after work, improve our fitness and to have fun. Everyone genuinely wants to help and support each other, there is a fantastic atmosphere and we love going.

   Absolutely brilliant place. Mr &Mrs Stead are fantastic instructors and are amazing at what they do, they go above and beyond for their students, they have really helped my daughter so much with her confidence and mental health since she started training here as they genuinely do care for their students as well as teach them. It’s such a lovely atmosphere, I would highly recommend to anyone, we’ve always been made to feel so welcome here and we feel like we are part of the phoenix community.

   Mr and Mrs Stead are absolutely fantastic! They are so passionate & welcoming. They make the lessons fun and creative. My daughter has been going for over a year and her confidence was noticeable straight away. I would recommend them to anyone! They work through school holidays and barely have time off! They graft hard and should be praised for that. Well done guys!

   My son has been doing kickboxing here for a while now and he absolutely loves it. Hes met lots of new friends, learnt new techniques, he can focus alot better now, before he was very hyper. The instructors are brilliant with all the kids as well as my son. To be honest the Phoenix academy have been great and this includes the Knottingley academy when we attend gradings. Highly recommend Mr and Mrs Stead
