   My daughter has been dancing with Hannah and Drew as part of York Youth for a number of years now. The outstanding tuition and opportunities to perform alongside the support and encouragement offered have been second to none. Hannah and Drew are always on hand to help and are incredibly responsive to any emails. We would not hesitate to recommend York Dance Space to anyone looking for a space to dance.    My daughter joined York Dance Space in September 2020 and has never been so enthusiastic about regularly attending anything as much as she is about YDS. The nurturing support and enthusiastic encouragement she has received from all her teachers has helped to build confidence and form such positive relationships with staff and students alike. This has inspired her creativity, and she has loved participating in the shows and events that YDS organises, as well as wider events in which they're involved. What an amazing place Hannah and Drew have created - they should feel really proud of what they've achieved. Thank you!

   I am not impressed by this business. They do not respond to emails and gave the impression that they didn't want to work with me when I had made a request to switch classes. I purchased a dance card. I went to my first class. It was too much for me and I found it very cliquey and difficult to keep up. So I emailed requesting to use my dance card on a different class that would be more to my fitness level. Nothing. No response at all. Not even a check in when I didn't make it to any of the remaining classes. They had my money and that is the end of this relationship. I have given three stars as the teacher was technically a strong dancer and I believe she could be a good teacher. Also, after posting this review I did receive a full refund for the dance card and an apology for missing my previous email. I was also offered a beginner's class but I am choosing the refund. There are many wonderful dance schools in York and I would recommend that you find one that has a passion for dance and a strong business sense to support the customer service side of the business.

   My daughters go to dance classes here and they absolutely love attending. Hannah and Drew are amazing people, caring and kind and will go above and beyond. The opportunities the girls have had to perform have boosted their confidence no end.

   My teenage daughter has had a very positive experience dancing here. Hannah and Drew have created a friendly, welcoming space where each dancer is helped and encouraged to explore their creativity at the same time as developing their technique. There is also a strong sense of community, with many performances and workshops involving professionals and other dance groups across York. I can’t recommend York Dance Space enough for those that are passionate about dance.

   I attended the Beginners Yoga 5 week course and found it to be a brilliant introduction to Yoga technique. Drew is an excellent instructor who ensures the pace is suitable to the level of the class and he explains it all in an understandable way. Highly recommend! Gina Cooper
