Amazing my daughter’s been here since y9 she’s in y10 and she loves it. My daughter was home schooled for 10 months due to her social anxiety and autism , but UTC made her feel right at home the senco is amazing I never have to worry about anything because I know she’s looked after. The headteacher is brilliant any email I have sent day or night he’s always managed to get back to me over any concern, he greets the kids on the door every morning which is lovely. I cannot praise this school enough for the continued support. She is doing well in lessons and she’s met most of her targets. All her teachers have been nothing but supportive. Definitely recommend!

Amazing education there however the only downside is the students who treat it like a normal secondary school this is not a normal school but they do not see that it is a good school.

Came for sixth form and I would say it is a top notch sixth form. Engineering staff are knowledgeable and supportive, a level teachers are very supportive and good at making their classes both fun and engaging. You get out what you put into UTC, if you're willing to engage and put the effort in you'll get much more out of it than any other school. Attached are some videos/pictures of extracurricular and coursework I have done. Including green power racing, UKROC rocketry and worldskills automation and mechatronics competitions.

It's a fairly decent school but in year 9-11 it's literally just like a normal school with a little extra engineering but is still basic and alot of teachers have favourites but overall a decent school but if you have a severe liking for engineering come but if not I don't think you should bother

I would think twice about sending your children to UTC Sheffield. The teachers have no control other the pupils. My child has had things stolen from his bag now 4 times and the school say there’s nothing they can do. So I have resulted in reporting the incident to 101 now. Which will go down on there ofsted report having police attending school. Let alone all the other incidents that have happened over the years. In my opinion I would give this school a wide berth.

I studied my A-Levels at UTC Sheffield straight after finishing secondary school. It straightened me out from being a class clown who didn't care about school or succeeding, into a young engineer that an employer could work with and develop. If you're willing to put the hard work in, it's well worth it. The mix of hands on modules and theory make you a ripe picking for potential employers for apprenticeships/degree apprenticeships. 3 years after finishing UTC I am now a Trainee Project Engineer in a division of my sponsor company, I have had the pleasure of working with and being mentored by all levels seniority in my company, from the machine operators who have decades of invaluable industry experience to the management team who give you an insight into the entire business.

If you want to get into engineering and your smart it’s a good college but I went for the first 6 months hated it and got an apprenticeship at amrc because the first year is all classroom work and the second year is just hands on but if you arent book smart but just makes the grades to get in it won’t be a good place because the teachers couldn’t give a toss how you do

It's an ok school lots of teachers only focus on the students who are succeeding and not the ones who need help. However overall it's an alright school they are true to the zero tolerance bullying and stuff like that and not all teachers are bad.

This school has a core of teachers that are well above the average and show real dedication. The staff turn over is low The school suffers from students attending simply because they have been forced out of their existing school and are attending because they have to and not because they want to take advantage of the opportunities that this type of hands on school can give. The opportunities are vast if the kids engage although some pupils learning is effected by the bad behavior of other kids. This needs to be addressed from the top down without delay to change a decent school into a great school.
