Avoid! Waited half an hour to be picked up from Russell's Hall at 2am. Rang continuously to ask where my taxi was and went to voicemail. When I finally got through was told that no booking existed.
Charged me and my partner £8 for about 1 mile ride. Didn't speak a single word to us. Don't use this amateur run company!! I won't be EVER again!!!
Tried to charge double fare without any mention when ordering taxi on phone or when getting into to taxi. Disgusting
On no account should this firm be used to pick up from hospitals. Pre-booked by Russells Hall Hospital to send my son to City Hospital in Birmingham for scans, arrived 25 minutes late, 5 minutes before his appointment time to go 9 miles to Birmingham. Why so late? To collect another fare first! This delayed his return to hospital as his appointment was late and the firm is obliged to do school runs. Therefore he misses his evening meal. White Star Taxis should be ashamed of themselves treating a hospital patient this way. Irresponsible and awful. Avoid.
