This 1 star is far too generous..can't even get over the 1st hurdle of getting a simple appointment

Been here over 20 years. Never had an issue, always listened to and assisted. Dr Nawaz is the nicest and great with female issues. Dr Tun is the most understanding when it comes to mental health. Dr Gopal saved my daughters life a couple of years ago aswell. Forever greatful.

Dr Nawaz and Dexter are the only ones worth seeing/speaking too Avoid the midwives who do not care - I did make an official complaint about them at the time but they banded together and said my version of events never happened despite the team at Leigh confirming my notes were done completely wrong and tests were missed! Avoid the other GPs especially Dr Tun! Refused to look a growth for over 6 months, just blindly prescribed steroid creams which probably fed it since it turned out to be cancerous.. no one in this surgery ever examined it!! Yet, if have a bad back and can’t get out of bed given a same day appointment and told if you can’t make it they can’t treat you… so their eyes don’t work but their xray vision must. Anything you ring for will be perscribed with antibiotics with no evidence of an infection or A and E… then they wonder why Wigan is constantly over run! Literally given two stars because of Dexter and Dr Nawaz.

Genuinely the worst GP I have encountered and it makes sense why they're rated so poorly. My partner has waited 2 years for an ultrasound, they kept saying they referred her and kept pushing back the date she was supposed to have it, eventually saying she should expect a letter in February 2024 (mind you she was referred in Sept 2022 by the hospital). Of course Feb rolls around and each time we ask about it they pass us a generic number to the hospitals in the area, none of whom have gotten a request for an ultrasound. My partner then contacts Dr Tun and he himself responds "I have re referred you, please keep an appointment this time". The sheer audacity for the lead GP to give attitude to a patient under his care who he has mucked about for 2 years and repeatedly lied to about referring for a simple ultrasound is astounding. My own story is that i was taken by ambulance for severe breathing difficulties, after being treated and discharged they said the GP would follow up, that was 2 years ago and no such followup regarding my health. If you genuinely care about your health or the health of your loved ones, avoid this GP at all costs.

In the summer I had stomach problems, the doc rang me and said “we will get this sorted for you”. I was happy for this response as it was a daily problem for me and didn’t have a clue what was up. I had a couple of tests done, about 4 week later I checked my message inbox, the doc had closed the matter. I rang and the receptionist checked my results and said everything was fine. Months later I’ve still got the problem, been told there’s a massive wait, so gone to the out of hours, saw me the same day, got hands on and advised me to do repeat tests and this time inform my GP not to close it until the matter is resolved. First time in dealing with this GP I went to get my asthma looked at, the nurse ordered me to wear a mask due to covid. (I have access to tests as I’m a key worker) informed her I was negative but she literally told me I wasn’t going ahead with the appointment unless I put a mask on. As the appointment went on she continuously touched her mask and was breaching the rules regarding safe hygiene and didn’t wash her hands before touching my personal stuff and handing them back. Reception staff were rude numerous times, demanding I wear a mask yet they’re sat behind a screen amongst each other without nobody wearing masks.

You phone for appointments however if this is after mid morning you are told to recall the next day. Thats after trying online booking which the surgery currently suggest is a requirement but does not seem to work. That I find out is because the online booking system is turned off at 12am lol. Cut out the middleman go straight for the walk in centre. Their system is painless and their reception polite and understanding.

Rang for the doctor to attend as we knew my father in law was dying from terminal cancer. We just wanted a doctor to take a look at him and reassure us that we was doing everything possible to make him as comfortable as possible. The doctor refused to come out to him but offered a phone consultation. The doctor spoke to my father in law and told us he sounded bright But in reality he was fading fast. Less than 12 hours later my father in law passed away. Were is the care and compassion for a man who served his country and has been with this surgery from its beginning. This happened in December 2020 and only now able to talk about it openly
