This college is highly unorganised and does not care about their students… The motor vehicle department is a joke with a high up member doing nothing to replace a tutor who had to be off for 3 months leaving us behind. Multiple people have been called retarded and nothing really gets done. Certain member are amazing like Chris and Wal but I would not recommend this college ever to anyone. Try Askham Bryan or York college first!

The arts department in Harrogate and the MA in creative practice Students are incredible. They add value to the local community and are inspiring social entrepreneurs. It's fab to see community, culture and commerce developed in this way for Harrogate.

Last year I was there my tutor was highly unorganised giving us assignments that had not been proof read. Witch in result forced us to have to re do them multiple times. Half way through we lost our tutor and was without a course tutor more nerly a month until we final had a permanent progression tutor. Non of us students were given and progression record or targets goals nor were my exsam date recorded onto my pro portal account. The college is a complet descrase and I know a few people that would not recommend it at all.

killed my dreams
i know that the heading seems a bit much but i left sixth form after the first year because i found it was to much and couldn't keep up with the work due to my learning difficulty's. so my teachers at school helped me apply for an art course at harrogate college because my dream was to become a free lance artist
so i showed up on the first day wearing new clothes and holding new work equipment that my mother had brought me its was a good morning meeting new people and learning where everything was all in all having a good time but what i did not realize was that after the morning break the tutor was going to turn to me and tell with other students present that i did not have enough qualifications to be on the course this was after they called my mother in for some paper work
and i started the day thinking that "im going to ignore my dyslexia,dyspraxia and dyscalculia and conquer this course"
but instead i just felt all three of theses problems were worse than i thought
if you have learning difficulty's just be careful with this place i would hate for anyone to experience what i did

Based on Hornbeam Park just out of the centre of Harrogate town, the campus is spread over two blocks, plenty of parking spaces with a permit of £1 for the year! Train station, and premier inn on the estate so very handy for travel as well as many other businesses. Fantastic facilities on campus including the library in which the staffs are fantastic, not to mention equipment and materials available to ‘creative’ students are just brilliant whether its art, printing, photography or fashion you are well catered for. Faculty of Arts is second to none
I am studying Ba Hons Fashion Degree and currently halfway through my second year, must say it is a fantastic course. Modules and program of study are exciting and interesting with many opportunities and educational trips. All tutors are so supportive and students ALWAYS come first, if you need help, support or resources they will ALWAYS aim to help you achieve or know of someone who can help you!
One to one time with tutors and course leaders with frequent tutorials, would not get this anywhere else. They are also ALWAYS contactable if you need advice or support in person or by email. Staff cannot be faulted for their knowledge and expertise in their field having also worked in industry.
I travel two hours every day but well worth it… Best choice I ever made.

Offer some good courses only problem it's in Harrogate and not even the centre of Harrogate your college is a much better option as in York how much nice area and does a wider range of courses
