I called for an appointment at 830am and was given one for the same day by a very friendly receptionist. I walked in to the GP without a wait and was treated by Dr Leach in such a warm, caring and understanding manner. I felt that she really listened to me and knew that I was worried and she gently reassured me as much as she was able to. Thank you to everyone that dealt with me today.

I am incredibly grateful for the cortisone injection I received in my knee. It allowed me to enjoy a fantastic, pain-free holiday where I could walk for hours and even climb stairs without any discomfort. It felt almost miraculous. Thank you so much!

I did an e consult on Tuesday at about 5.30 and received a text back at 5.55 to say I had a face to face appointment with a doctor the next day! I was seen by Dr Knight who was very thorough and a referral was also done. The receptionist was also very helpful in sorting out a nurses appointment and Vicky called me back the same afternoon. I think it's important for people to let the surgery know when they receive good service ,thank you.

Appointment available quickly (within 24 hours). Saw Paul O’Brien- have seen him before. Always clear advice. Always pleasant. Very knowledgeable. I’ve never had anything hit good service at this health centre since moving to Warrington 6 years ago.

While the medical care at Penketh Health Centre is of a high standard, my overall experience has been significantly marred by the poor time management and inefficiency of the clerical staff. The doctors themselves are professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. When you do finally get to see them, the clinical care is reassuring and competent—they take the time to listen, explain, and address concerns properly. For that, I have no complaints and full confidence in their medical expertise. However, the administrative side of the practice leaves much to be desired. On numerous occasions, I have had to call the surgery repeatedly just to follow up on the release of a simple form. What should be a routine administrative task turns into a frustrating and drawn-out process. Phone calls often go unanswered for long periods, and when you do get through, the information is either vague or the issue is passed along with no real resolution. This inefficiency not only wastes patients’ time but undermines confidence in the overall management of the practice. A basic level of administrative reliability is essential in a healthcare setting, especially when patients depend on timely documentation for ongoing care, referrals, or workplace needs. Penketh Health Centre could greatly improve patient satisfaction by addressing the clerical team's time management and responsiveness. Until then, despite the excellent care provided by the doctors, the overall patient experience remains inconsistent and unnecessarily stressful.

Really upsetting when you are in a vulnerable place feeling unwell and there is zero help or advice offered. Mid way through explaining my problem with the pharmacy not giving me my repeat perscription that is paid for, the receptionist said, ‘hold on I’ve got another call’. Then told me to call 111 again who had already helped me but Penketh health centre and doctors is refusing to accept their perscription referral for me. Headed to boots pharmacy in Westbrook who solved instantly, unsure why it had to come to this.

Wow doesn't give anyone confidence to use this practice for our health needs, maybe a little empathy is needed here. I rang to speak to a doctor the other day, didn't get an apt, however the lady I spoke too was very nice.

I knew Penketh health centre was bad but didn't realise how bad until I moved out of the area and changed to a different practice. I didn't get completely away though as I care for both my parents who have a lot of health issues. Whenever I need to deal with Penketh the process of whatever it is I need to do is always so time consuming and stressful. If you can I would recommend changing to a different practice, you would realise then that what you thought was bad service is actually I lot worse than you realise.

Did an E-consult Thurs morning, was offered an appointment to see advanced practitioner Friday. Given a bit of an MOT, antibiotics and hand cream. Great service and very efficient. Cannot fault this health centre.
