Last year at this college was great but, this new year is terrible like especially if you haven't made any friends this place is not the best as it was last year. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone like they say make friends oh yeah but then actually they don't. This is the worst ever experience here at hillsborough college. There are some good bits about it but the education this year has not been the best unlike last year that went well. Y1 really fun and great education Y2 some good bits but the education is a bit iffy. Especially its tricky for people that has any disabilities that are struggling with loudness and sometimes rowdy sometimes.

the entire building but mostly the E corridors are genuinely far to hot to work in, everyone knows this and working in such heat is unbearable even in the winter months, most classrooms have no sign of air-con and the ones without windows get far too hot, making it impossible to concentrate.

The staff are fantastic and there is good coffee to keep you going for long class days.

The absolute worst place to book basketball, do NOT book this place. The staff’s attitude is absolutely abismal towards guests attending to watch games. Many guests had taken chairs to sit down and watch as benches were full with spectators, and due to severe allergies and medical issues, i cannot sit on the floor so I pulled out a chair, and the receptionist came and threatened to kick us out and started raising his voice at us, then when my friend said to not be rude, as I am very ill and also have anxiety, he started threatening to kick us out again. A gross abuse of power at this campus by the evening reception staff, hopefully this issue is a one time thing and can be resolved with training. My basketball team will not be booking sessions here any longer. EDIT and update: We ended up staying to watch the basketball game and went to speak to the guard to try diffuse the tension, as we assumed it was a miscommunication and wanted to clear up our side of the story, the guard threatened us saying that if we were “outside the school gates” it would be a different story essentially trying to say he would beat us up as we look weaker than him, if we were all out in the public. Quite shameful from staff at a school, especially thinking about all the kids around.

Honestly if I could give a lower review I would. I hate the college and only staying to gain my qualification at the end. Staff are late pretty much every lesson, one member of staff in particular has 'favourites' and if you're not like it's very obvious and feel like I'm being made to fail. Turning upto a college you hate is horrible and cannot wait to go home. The support is non existent and it's taken 6 months to finally put my exam needs in place but not spoken to me at all about my support the time I have been here. I do not recommend this Camus at all. I was told I'd be spoken to in the first month of me being here about additional support in September it is now March and have not been for a chat. As well as being told by staff members not to talk to ofsted when they came around

Generally good teachers and most of them trying to help you...2 stars off because of the amount of chafs and rubbish they leave after themselves...you are almost full grown adults lear how to clean after yourself. Shame on you.

I was glad when I left Hillsborough College, as I used to get stressed and anxious in lessons. I had new routes support which took abit of my stress and anxiety off. Didn't hang out with many people, as most of the time I was on my own with my new routes support worker. It was nice to hang around with some of my mates from my old secondary special school and too meet some new people.

nice staff and people, very unorganized, could do with more funding but so could every college.

I love going to my weekly pottery class at Hillsborough College and have really missed it during covid. Sad to say the registration process is truly atrocious. For a non examination evening course the sign up process and payment process should be straightforward. Sadly not you are treated just the same as a full time examination course. Way to much paperwork and an in person appointment - really necessary?
