My 90 year old Mother made an appointment at the Drs request. No one mentioned the appointment was in 'The Nest' not the surgery. Fortunately another patient helped her to walk to the NEST. I have tried communicating face to face with reception staff (who were not unpleasant,) as well as via the NHS app on approximately 5 occasions regardinga medication issue. . To date its still not sorted. If a Dr recalls you for further tests then why is it 3 weeks before there is an appointment ? Far too much disorganised administration. Its no surprise the reviews are so bad. Very sad for the staff working there who must be badly managed. Is there even a practice manager? Come on Sandy Lane Health Centre, you need to up your game. You are resting on Laurels because you know the patients cant do a single thing about the shoddy service. If surgeries in other towns can and do give great service then so should you !

Terrible for parking and always waiting around for appointments as they're usually running late.

Absolutely appauling. Aggressive female receptionist who clearly didn't want to listen to on the phone. Appauling attitude, will be taking this further with a formal complaint. Hadn't even finished speaking and she trying to put the phone down.

Excel primary care in this place is absolutely shocking, the staff are unprofessional and have absolutely 0 empathy, Cheryl in pharmaceutical department should be removed from staffing team immediately for re-training her attitude and complete lack of care is shocking for someone working within the NHS 1 star feels generous

My pregnant partner (8+months) called to report a skin infection, a re-occurring issue that she has been dealing with for some time. She was told that there was no appointments available bar a 'call' on the 26th, and that she should call back another time as it was just an rash. With all due respect, despite the sorry state of the NHS and the booking procedure in general, I don't think reception staff should be giving any medical advice, especially with no evidence to base their diagnosis on. We subsequently visited a walk in clinic who confirmed our suspicions, and although I had attempted to report this directly to the clinic instead of posting online, they did not answer their phones and have no whistle blowing procedures listed online, other than sending them a letter, which seems outdated and convoluted at best. Had we taken the receptionist's advice and left it for a number of days, it would be interested to see their response to this...

They should be taking that massive family planning clinic sign down that's nailed to the wall, cos I'm here on a Thursday at 19:04 and it's not even open!! They don't make it easy to get on contraception these days.

Bad appointment availability. You must start ringing at 8am when they open if you want the slightest chance. Chances are that when you finally get through after 40 minutes of waiting, all the appointments will be gone and you have to try again the next day. Not sure why you can’t book an appointment for the day after or another day when you’re free and they have availability. No issue with the Doctors but the appointment system is useless. Not very accessible
