I have only given a 1 star review purely based on the reception area and waiting area. I was sitting in the waiting area yesterday along with 3 other patients. A male patient came in and handed discretely a specimen to the receptionist who asked what it was for, the patient replied he had been to hants Lane and was told to bring it to surgery, the receptionist asked him was it because he had diarrhea which he replied it's to test for gastroenteritis... she was speaking through a microphone because of the glass screen between them so was very loud and we heard everything. The patient was clearly embarrassed and I pointed out to him how impersonal this was. I am sure there are lots of patients who have gone through this and been highly embarrassed.... I personally would have said I would prefer to explain myself somewhere more private. This needs to be addressed and possibly make changes to the reception and waiting area.

I am currently moving to another surgery. I have had countless issues over the years with this practice and the so called "professionals". I have been in and out of a&e regarding severe pains and issues and I have been back and forth with Southport hospital regarding this. I then have been discharged, as I have had the "all clear" from a CT-scan so the doctors, in SAU, told me to call my GP right away and get a referral to a gyne. So I called today, as advised by my doctor in Southport hospital, and I was basically told that he cannot help me further and I have to wait another week for him to even understand why I called. When I explained everything that was done and the amount of pain I was in, he said I don't understand what I can do for you. Never again will I come back to this practice.

They have put so many obstacles in the way so they can avoid seeing you face to face. You ring to book an appointment in advance and are met by pre consultation calls, send photographs, ring in 2 weeks time on the day and queue and take your chance. Doctor clearly doesn't want to see his patients, absolute disgrace of a place.

From the initial phone call to book a telephone consultation the staff were very helpful and friendly and my query was dealt with extremely quickly. Dr Ganga kept me updated throughout and was very reassuring - amazing service

As far as doctors surgeries go at the minute, this one is the best in Ormskirk. I love the online query service for speed and ease. I’ve used it many times for prescriptions for my daughter and for myself. I was recently concerned about a number of moles, I sent pictures and the pictures were sent off to a specialist to check them. All clear. Results were back in a couple of days. I paid privately for this service during lockdown (emailed photos of moles over to dermatologist for comments) and it cost me £250. So I was pleased with this. It’s reasonably easy to get an appointment (I’m comparing to my husband’s drs next door - Ormskirk medical and my friends m drs at Aughton surgery). I have always found the receptionists really polite, helpful and friendly too.

Terrible for Women's health. All male practice. I spent years struggling with an undiagnosed gynae problem. Had to pay privately to discover I needed a complete and urgent hysterectomy and I then had to fight for HRT. Eventually was helped by the Gynae consultant at the hospital but now there is a shortage, I have tried 3 times to get an alternative and I have been refused the dose recommended by consultant at the hospital and the BMJ. The pharmacist has been amazing trying to help, they even advised what to prescribe and the GPs still got it wrong. I feel completely ignored.

The elms practice is excellent the doctors and staff are pleasant and friendly with helpful. You can nearly always get the appointment and time. Dr krish is a good old fashioned doctor he will listen if you have to problem. But he does have suffer fools and timewasters.
