Very impressed with the new online system, I booked an at home visit for my dad at 9.30am and the doctor visited him at 12.30pm, brilliant

If you phone your met with bureaucratic red tape the civil service would give a gold star to . Patchs times out and has a limit of appointments scrooge would be proud of . If you work forget ever getting an appointment because your the inconvenience in a automated , limited , undedicated public service. New premises hopes for a change of direction and ownership of a 2 star rated practice.Accountability is obviuously not a prioirty .

I have been with Great Sutton Surgery for over 60 years and have not had any issues, phoning can be a bit of a wait when ringing at 8am, but always use call back option and always receive a call back, appointments have been made with no issues.

If I could give zero stars, I would… If you value your health, DO NOT for the love of god sign up to be a patient of Great Sutton Medical Centre. On Monday I completed a PATCHs request at 8:03am… I received a response at approx 9:30am from “Nic” stating that there were no appointments and that I would have to seek assistance from either walk in centre, or NHS 111” - I found this extremely hard to believe as I had submitted the PATCHS within minutes of the surgery opening! Either way, I played the game and contact 111. When speaking with them and them completing a verbal clinical observation, they reassured me that they would arrange for a GP from my surgery to contact me. I thought I was hearing things… it couldn’t be my surgery? I was told that there were no appointments. When I asked her to repeat, she stated that it WOULD be with my surgery. So, they did have appointments… who knew? Fast forward, and I spoke with a GP and was invited in to be checked out! I was checked out and told “I don’t have pneumonia, and that the infection is viral” - despite my crackling, constant coughing and bringing up yellow/green phlegm and wheezing. I have asthma, and I have NEVER had a viral infection… it’s always been bacterial and needed antibiotics and usually steroids to clear. But I thought, I’m not the doctor, so I took what he said and carried on. I’ve been off work all week feeling like death warmed up, breathing worsening and chest on fire. This morning I decided enough was enough. I had a look to see if PATCHs were still open. To my amazement, it was! So clearly, they have appointments right? WRONG! I completed a PATCHs, and within 4 MINS… guess who responded again? Nic… with the same copy and paste spiel… “unfortunately we do not have an appointment… blah blah blah”. I rang the surgery, as I wanted to speak to someone! Apparently, there was no appointments and when I asked why PATCHs was still live, I got “so we can sign post people to get help” - no… if you had no appointments, PATCHs can be taken offline as it automatically states in a yellow banner that there is no appointments, however states where you can find help… so that excuse is weak. Then when I mentioned 111 booked me in at their surgery on Monday after I was told they had no availability, they said cause they keep some for 111. No, you have a receptionist that has ZERO medical training deciding who she thinks deserves to be seen by a GP without even knowing the patient’s medical history! I have asthma and have done since I was born. If the receptionist had any medical training, she would know that someone with asthma, and changes in weather can add more prone to chest infections. If chest infections are left, they can go to sepsis pneumonia. But then, receptionist don’t have the training, so why on earth are they in charge of who gets to see a doctor?!?!? Basically playing God. Thankfully I was able to get to a walk in centre. After being there for 3 HOURS, I was seen by triage and a lovely nurse practitioner. Both of which were shocked and disgusted that I had not been seen today, nor given correct treatment to begin with! Turns out I was right, it was a BACTERIAL infection… not viral! Crackles all down my right lung!! This being said, after only a year of being registered at this nightmare surgery, I have now registered somewhere else! Good riddance and good luck to anyone that is still registered in this hellhole. CQC rating “good” - what a load of rubbish, especially when you see that there is a rating of 1.9 and most reviews are awful reviews. Wonder if people know that they can report the surgery to CQC and Safeguarding….

My dad had an appointment scheduled for 3:00 PM. He arrived at the clinic well before the time and waited at reception to check in. Unfortunately, there was only one member of staff on duty, who spent over 20 minutes assisting another lady. By the time it was his turn, it was already 3:20 PM. When he explained that he couldn’t speak English and needed help with interpretation, he was bluntly told he was late and would have to rebook—despite the delay being entirely caused by their own slow check-in process. After my dad told me what had happened, I phoned the practice immediately to seek clarification. Not only did the staff fail to offer any apology, but they also gave excuses and insisted that nothing wrong had been done, repeating that a new appointment would need to be made. I’ve called on behalf of my dad several times in the mornings trying to book appointments, and I’m almost always told that everything is fully booked or that no slots are available. Even if you’re lucky enough to get an appointment, there’s no guarantee you’ll be seen or treated with any empathy or professionalism. If you’re registered here, I genuinely feel sorry for you. If you have the option, I strongly recommend transferring to another practice. Sadly, this clinic does not seem to care about patients’ circumstances, language needs, or medical wellbeing.

this is the worst clinic there is in cheshire... ladies from reception ignore patients with serious problems, send them to pharmacy and do nothing but gossip all the time in the back room... avoid this place like fire

Absolutely bad to get through to reception to make an appointment, i have been with the these doctors all my life and the service is getting worse, I am disappointed. I have been given the number and it has not been recognised and I then rang the old number and that has not been recognised either, no wonder we have bad reviews.

I have had to fight for a prescription for an asthma inhaler. I was spoken to rudely for missing an appointment due to having a severe fever and continuously vomiting. I was therefore unable to call in to cancel my appointment. I have escalated these issues to PALS to escalate the complaint. I have never been spoken to with such callous disregard for being so sick. Absolutely disgusted with the service here.

Iv lost count over the years how often this gas happened. Afew weeks ago I had been ringing doctors for my children whom both have tonsilitis. Start at 8am on the dot and don't get through for over an hour. When they finally answer it almost sounds rehersed ready to shut you down. And tell me to ring 111. That's lead me both times to the hospital waiting 6 hours with both children each time. I'm heavily pregnant a week away from having my baby and due to being in hospital with kids iv caught an infection that's lasted 3 weeks. Unable to sleep or pick my head up. When explained to reception from 8am again I was treated the same way. Apart from 1 difference. They wrote it on the system I tried to get through and to try again to try tomorrow. I'm unable to go hospital with being high risk and so unwell with 2 children. .

Very poor, used to be a good practise but not any more, began ringing at 8.00am this morning, 200 plus calls later (my phone stops counting at 200) finally got through to the queue at approx 8.35am , when I finally spoke to someone no appointments available advised me to go to eastham walk in centre! more chance of meeting the pope than seeing a Dr at this place................
