   Gemma is a fantastic tutor! My son only had her for the last four months before his GCSEs but in that time he became much more confident and consistent in answering the exam questions in both English Literature and Langugae. I am sure the grade 7 and 8 in these exams were due to Gemma’s personalised and excellent intervention. My son absolutely loved coming to her sessions, even after a long day at school! Not only were the they very helpful but Gemma is such an approachable and calm teacher. I loved that Gemma tailored the tuition to my son’s needs and was so invested in helping him to succeed. As the exams got closer, she very kindly gave him feedback on practice questions he had done mid week out of her own time. We feel very lucky that my son got this expert help

   I have always struggled a lot in both English literature and English language. After being recommended by a few of my friends I invested in Gemma, who was a friendly, intelligent and easy going person. I was able to truly understand English and even ended up getting 91% in english literature and overall going up 6 grades total throughout english. I was elated with my results and only had Gemma to thank for them. I am truly grateful and this amazing opportunity and I have even been i inspired to take english literature A level.    At the start of GCSE English, I realised I might need a little extra help in literature and language. Gemma had been tutoring a friend of ours and they recommended her to us. She was absolutely amazing and helped me build my technique in fun ways while also being cheerful and supportive. Also, she recommended books to help build up my vocabulary and increase my passion for writing as I wasn’t a fan of the creative writing section. After two years, I achieved two grade 9s in both literature and language thanks to her!

   Gemma was recommended to us by a friend who had sought her assistance to squeeze those extra grades out. I have to say from the moment we met Gemma right through the whole period of tuition we have been so impressed with her professional, friendly and clearly competent teaching ability. My daughter gelled instantly which always helps. Lucy was doing ok at school with English but they were not progressing her like we wanted, but with Gemma's one to one she started to unlock the doors and soon we noticed the grades jump up in language and literature. So much so her teacher even commented how Lucy had improved. Unfortunately due to the pandemic my daughter never got chance to put all those new skills to the test however she still gained 8's which was a fantastic achievement and I have no doubt that had she sat those exams 9's would have been in the bag. Thanks to Gemma a great mentor and brilliant teacher. Highly recommended.
