Came with my dad last week for a routine blood test, I was quite concerned as he hadn’t been well and spoke with the receptionist and explained my concerns! Amazing she arranged for us to go back a couple of hours later to see a doctor who was amazing! I think his name was Ben! He got my dad booked in at the hospital straight away! Thank you so much

It is unbelievable how much worse off my life is after registering with Manor Health Centre. They either: a) didn’t request or b) somehow lost years worth of my medical records. Now even though I’m with a new surgery, I’m having to track down paper copies of seven year old diagnoses just to prove I’ve got chronic health issues. Nevermind the years worth of treatment, medication and appointments to corroborate it, no, instead there’s just a huge gap on my NHS record which confuses every doctor I now speak to. This isn’t to mention the countless appointments or prescriptions at Manor Health Centre that were mishandled. I’d turn up for appointments they’d cancel without telling me; I’d be told I missed appointments that they never told me they made; they cancelled outstanding prescription requests without notifying me and constantly blame it on the system going down. I also spent two years being bounced between referrals they made, who kept sending it back to them and they’d just refer me to the same people. Want to make an appointment with them? Well make sure to wake up at 8am every day and just HOPE you get through, as there’s no queue system, no way to leave a message, no way to book appointments in advance and often when I’ve attended in person, the phones are just ringing while the staff are chatting. You can’t request prescriptions or make appointments through the NHS app either, so you’d better hope they decide to answer the phone. Still better than emailing them, as I can’t count how many emails they ignored, only to insist “oh it’s just come through now” a week later when confronted on it. That’s not how emails work, they’re not carrier pigeons, they arrive as soon as they’re sent. I’m on eight different kinds of medication for my health issues, and not just most, but almost every single repeat prescription I made had an error. It would either not go through, or come through a week late, and they won’t let you queue up a repeat prescription request early so you have to do it on the day you run out. I went cold turkey and experienced withdrawal about 30% of every month because of how awfully mismanaged this surgery is. Yet alone getting any actual help or treatment from the doctors over the two years I was with them. It always felt like I was just a box to tick with the bare minimum offered. (I should clarify, the GPs, doctors and nurses themselves I do not have an issue with, it’s mainly the reception staff, whoever handles the paperwork and emails, and just the management in general) I’ve never had issues with doctors like this before. I thought I must just be a problem patient, but my dad was registered with them and experienced all the same issues. NHS staff being overworked is a huge issue, but there’s far more at fault here than lack of funding. We’d always be friendly with the staff because they don’t deserve harassment, but something is seriously wrong with this place. PLEASE do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. Register with Grove Road if possible and in the catchment area. They have 5 stars, and are ranked the third best practice in the entire country. It’s like going from one extreme to the other. They’ve been incredibly helpful, efficient, polite and I haven’t had a single issue with them. Even despite the years worth of missing medical records causing confusion, as Manor Health Centre didn’t properly request them. I know this sounds like a hyperbolic rant, but your health is so important, and manor health centre will only make it worse if you have serious health concerns or requirements. I’m 28, and I’m no healthier than I was when I joined them at 26, if anything it’s gotten worse.

Took my elderly mum to see Dr Patrick today .This is the 2nd time my mum has seen this lovely GP . She was very helpful and took the time to listen and explain everything to my mum . Dr Patrick is certainly an asset to Manor Health Centre .

Doctors, nurses, and some reception staff are efficient and friendly. There is one receptionist who is very rude though. Even asking for simple requests such as if a prescription has been filled, or a sick note has been issued she will give inaccurate information in a very abrupt and condescending manner. She needs to be trained in how to speak to people with mental health issues. I will just hang up if she answers the phone as her attitude is very uncomfortable to deal with. She's not much nicer in person, and I avoid speaking to her if at all possible.

We are not a family that need the Dr a lot but my mum is 96. Right from the start of lockdown in 2020 this practice has done its v best to ensure that their service provision was maintained whilst keeping themselves and the public safe. I cannot commend them highly enough for their bedside manner and response when needed
