⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really impressed with my visit to Marsden Martial Arts The atmosphere was welcoming yet focused a good balance of discipline and encouragement. You can tell that the instructors know their stuff and care about proper technique, not just cardio or flash. Brandon has definitely challenged me in all the right ways. A couple of the drills pushed me harder than I expected in a good way. It’s rare to find somewhere that takes things seriously but still makes it feel rewarding. Looking forward to going back and seeing what else they can bring out of me. Let’s just say that I didn’t walk out feeling like a beginner. Brandon's customer service is on the mark.

We started our journey for our 5 year old Chester to become more confident an to control his temper and anxiety an overall listening skills. At the first lesson I definitely knew it wasn’t going to be easy, a couple of weeks later and 1-1 lessons with Jake I’ve seen a huge improvement in Chester’s listening he completed his very first lesson with the whole class an did fantastic an earned his very first red tag on his white belt which he is thrilled with. I’m so thankful and appreciative of Jake giving his time to spend it with Chester and help him become more confident in group sessions and I’m so grateful we have found somewhere that’s inclusive as Chester is ADHD an the entire marsden martial arts are welcoming an kind towards him. I can’t wait to see Chester progress more an more as his time continues with the guys.

I joined Marsden Martial Arts around 5 and a half years ago and it was the best decision iv ever made. When I first started I was heavily over weight and extremely anxious and depressed. So that first walk through the door was terrorfying, however I was greeted by a lovely smiling family who made me feel so welcome. I wasn't interested in grading and had given up on losing weight as I'd tried everything with very little maintainable success, I just felt something was missing from my life and used to love Martial arts growing up so thought I'd give it a go. 5 and a half years later and I'm preparing for my blackbelt grading, iv lost over 5 stone, iv made so many friends, I have fallen in love with jiu-jitsu, my anxiety and depression is so much more manageable now and my confidence has grown. I now teach classes at the academy and love sharing and gaining new knowledge and helping the kids. Something I never thought I would have the confidence to do and I have even completed a personal training course so I can advise students in other areas of fitness and basic nutrition. I now fill my life with a job I love, training which I love alongside my other hobbies and I'm a much happier person. I would recommend this to everyone regardless of size, age and fitness level as its helped me with every area of my life and I want everyone to feel this good.

Unfortunately this place is not safe or suitable for function. The staff lie about various things, additional charges are given past agreed initial. And grading never occurs. On top of this my girlfriend was threatened and locked inside because of being 1 day late with payment. We obviously left due to this as she literally just didn't have her card with her and I was to ill to drive down that day immediately. We offered to pay next day or online but nope. We have raised the issue with the police but then the Sensei has put through a standing order for a large amount and monthly for Forever! Committing fraud. Also raised with police.

So welcoming to new students, everyone involved is wanting you to succeed and so accommodating. Their syllabus means no one misses out and plenty of chances to grade. If you're looking to keep fit, make new friends and not take yourself seriously...look no further. Update....still amazing!

Ran by a lovely family who make everyone feel welcome. Our daughter loves it and since starting she has also made so much progression at home. I lacked commitment 7 years ago when I started, after being a little anxious about seeing whether I could return I found the worries baseless and was made to feel very welcome all over again. Now I get to do the journey with our daughter and I'm loving it. If you're looking for something fun to do, or for your kids, Marsden's is great. All the Senseis are so knowledgeable and patient, and you come away feeling better about yourself each time.

Brilliant place to train. The Marsden family are super knowledgeable and friendly. Their passion and enjoyment shines through and becomes infectious. Everybody who trains there is welcoming... It's like fighting as one big family. I'd highly recommend Marsden to anybody who is thinking of taking up martial arts. It truly is a positive life-changing decision.

We took our son to Marsden Martial Arts to help him with his confidence and temper control. I'm happy to say we have seen a great deal of improvement already. Over the past year with the pandemic Marsden have continued to have excellent communication, keeping in touch to ensure he's doing okay and checking if he's having any issues with the online videos. The Sensei's and staff are always polite and helpful and they really do take an interest in your child's development. I'm very happy my son joined Marsden and I would highly recommend them to anybody .
