First visit here and what a hidden gem! Went here to see (and hear!) The Voice of Whitney, and what a fantastic act!! Cracking location in the shadow of the Silver Jubilee bridge and slap bang on the banks of the River Mersey. Great atmosphere and community feel about the place. Excellent choice of beers and wines on offer and the prices are like going back in time 10 years!! Will definitely be back!!
The location and surroundings are excellent with a lovely outdoor area over looking the Mersey. The music venue is superb for sound and looks awesome. Staff brilliant and friendly, prices great generally a great place. Will be back soon
Went for a quick pint and a bite to eat when we were passing. Ended up staying until closing time! Great food and beer at a great price, friendly bar staff and manager. Outdoor stage/beer garden overlooking the river will be great to visit when it is warmer, we will be back.
The Mersey Hotel is a lovely place. The review on here from the woman advising it hosted a ‘far right wing’ event is absolute rubbish. Just someone trying to ruin a perfectly good business sadly.
I was supposed to stay here with some friends on a business trip but we found out the hotel was hosting a far right-wing concert with a band called Punishment block, I rang up the hotel and asked them about this and they denied everything, but, I saw a promotional leaflet with their hotel name on it. We have decided to find another hotel that doesn't host hate events and spend our money elsewhere
I've been coming 'the Snig' for 15 years and it's always had a place in my heart. Now that Brad has done the place up its looking even fresher. This along with the fact Joseph Holts Manchester Brewery is involved means there's a fine selection of bevvies too.
Awesome pub, arts venue, hotel.... Great night manager & a really nice owner, who just likes people having fun, creates a nice safe environment for the entire age range.... Everyone's welcome for good time, nice games room, separate from a sports bar, with a separate room for music & plenty more arts event, the art work - that's the pub wall paper is brilliant, outside stage for more scheduled events in the summer, also another bar & two separate quieter rooms, food is delicious, freshly made each serving, beers good, great staff creating a great environment to relax & have fun!!!! Well worth a visit xx
