Although advertised as a B&B there wasn't really any decent breakfast - we were given a choice of cereal or toast that we had to help ourselves to. Definitely would not rely on this place in that regard. It is close to the train station and the beds were comfortable, plenty of towels provided. But the place was quite tacky, blingy and just a bed to sleep in rather than a welcoming home to have a holiday in. I was not impressed by the owners bothering us at 11pm at night to settle the bill when they gave us the wrong details and we couldn't even pay our deposit before arrival. The ensuite room is bright and spacious, the twin room is quite dark and dingy, but the beds were comfortable in both. There's also a friendly dog. The hallway smells of cigarettes somewhat as the owners use the porch to smoke in.

We had a one night stay at Kirkby Park Bed and Breakfast. But it was time enough to experience the hospitality that our hostess Sharon and Peter showed. They were extremely helpful and accommodating and made us feel at home right away. Without asking for it, coffee and cake were served. Their home was just open to us, we can only recommend this fantasy place. The location is perfect as a starting point for a football weekend in Liverpool 100% perfect

I have stayed at Kirkby Park B&B twice in the past 8 years and found the owners to be excellent hosts. We missed out earlier this year because their bed and breakfast was fully booked and paid the price (another b&b, twice the price and less than half the value for money!),. This time we booked early and were lucky enough to get their last 2 available rooms - as ever, more than happy with the service. The rooms were spotless, their Full English is astounding value for money and sets you up for a day with just a quick sandwich needed for lunch. On this trip, we spoke to our hostess, Sharron, to arrange a hot evening meal on our arrival. Mrs Sorsky is a whizz in the kitchen - we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I would thoroughly recommend Kirkby Park Bed and Breakfast to anyone wanting to explore Liverpool and the surrounding area. It is perfectly located for days out and coming back after a long day to such a friendly homely atmosphere really makes the holiday special. (But reserve early, they get booked up months in advance!) Thank you Sharron and Peter Sorsky for another wonderful stay. Fay and family

This is our 2nd visit to this lovely b&b. Please don't expect a hotel. The owners Peter and Sharon will do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They make you feel like part of the family, not an anonymous guest. If you are offended by children or dogs, find somewhere else to stay. It does what it says on the tin and we look forward to returning.

Real friendly home from home. You get personal service from Peter and Sharron. They treat you like friends rather than guests. Peter even went out of his way, stopping what he was doing, to drive us and drop us off at the National and didn't want money for doing it! Its not a Hotel, so don't expect it, it is a family friendly warm guesthouse. We have stayed here a few times and some of the false reviews I have seen over the past months, would make you laugh, if they were not so hurtful and business damaging. Shows what other B&Bs will do to try and hurt a competitors trade. We look forward to staying there again and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Liverpool.
