   Upon arrival we were greeted by the team who were so friendly and informative of where we were staying and local amenities. We prepaid for the movie package, gowns, slippers and balloons to decorate the lodge as my partner had passed his exams. Throughout our visit the staff were so refreshing and the lodge itself was stunning, really clean and set in a great position. I would highly recommend staying here.

   We absolutely love this place, we come to celebrate our birthdays/anniversary every year. Gorgeous little retreat to kick back and relax. Close to everything (driving keeping in mind). On-site shop that pretty much sells everything you'd need. Close to the A55 and Caerwys village which has a lovely pub. And on a Thursday the pizza guy is there cooking fresh pizzas which are lovely

   Love it here. We’ve been quite a few times over the last 3 years. Lovely grounds, cabins are nice. Hot tubs are great. Much cheaper than other places I’ve seen. Staff are nice too.

   Pleasant experience at the Heron Lake Retreat. Location is good as there are many areas to explore and drive to from the retreat. The room was clean, just a little cold thats all. Having the hot tub made the experience a lot better! May come again in years to come.

   On arrival staff were very helpful and explained about the site and where the lodge was. Lovely site and can imagine it in full bloom during the summer it would be stunning. Still lovely during a cold but bright Feb stay. Great fun just wondering around the site but take care of the Geese and ducks as they don't move for you. Loved the hot tub and had fun with the kids morning and evenings as we did plenty of site seeing over our 4 day stay. The e-mail sent before we arrived was very helpful as restaurants were being booked up over valentine's so we had a chance to book before arriving and great choices. New shop on site but we didn't have a chance to use so can't commit. Overall a very good and enjoyable stay. Just one suggestion to make it better is could add a few hooks for towels inside as nowhere to put the towels to dry, a must for kids. From Kieron

   Me , my partner and our dog bruno had such a fab time here. We stayed in number 6 , hawks Lodge and it was so cosey! Lovely lodge. The one tiny bit of feedback I'd give them is to fence off the garden bit so the dogs can roam safely in the garden bit outside where the hot tub is so they can't wonder off onto the roads where people drive and your not constantly looking for them , esp in the dark! But overall would highly recommend, thank you!

   Beautiful night away. We arrived at night time and it was magical, the drive was all lit up. We had a swift check in and drove up to the lodge. We stayed in Starling which was right at the top of the hill and resort. It was lovely accommodation with everything we needed. Hot tub was a true luxury. Was so peaceful and quiet. Overall a very relaxing stay, can highly recommend and would love to go back soon.

   Myself and my partner have visited Herons seven times now and absolutely love it there! We have just done one night stays and it's the perfect break from reality. We keep an eye on the Facebook page and usually wait for the last minute deals which are excellent value for money! We have stayed in lodges Teal, Finch, Nightingale, Starling, Jay, Sparrow and most recently Kestrel. Each time the lodges have been clean, tidy and warm. Offering everything you need for a relaxing nights stay. The hot tubs are one of the main reasons we have chosen to come back again and again along with the beautiful grounds and scenery. The staff have allways been very welcoming and helpful! Thanks Herons, hope to see you again soon!

   Just got back from a mini break and could have stayed forever, so peaceful. Although the lodge we stayed in could have done with a lick of paint on the outside the inside was immaculate, cosy and had everything we needed. Only real negative I have is workmen coming in the property to fit a sign not long after we arrived, only a 5 minute job but surely could have been done while they had no guests in, considering it's a hot tub lodge I found this a bit intrusive. That said, had a wonderful time and would definitely go back.
