Very basic room but tbh you get what you pay for only £70 for the night with insurance. Unfortunately would not stop here again .

Watch out for the bedbugs! The bathroom is also old and covered in mold. Don't forget the stains all over the sofa and heater.

I was travelling with my family after a long 6 hour drive we came to this motel and thought by the friendly staff that it would be worth the £50 POUND A NIGHT but no when we step foot into our room and see the lovely view of a solid brick wall from the window but we don't think much and I try the sofa bed and when I tell you it was horrendous I mean my spine was basically punched by the metal frame due to the mattress being so thin and the frame so harsh so I decided the floor is a better option and slept on the paper thin mattress on the floor and it made sure that I was basically touching the floor the whole night, and what made it worse was the loud crying of children at 3 am the late check-ins and the what I think to be scurrying in the walls (The tea was nice though)

As an hgv driver our company puts us in hotels to get a good night's sleep and a proper bath/shower. First and last time we will use this hotel. Toilet, filthy, bath, filthy, shower gel or soap?? Nope just 1 10ml sachet of shampoo!!! sofa in room covered in dubious stains!!! Tv hanging off the wall!! The bed.. well I've slept on softer concrete floors!! 2 pillows, both almost 3 inches thick!! Room 6 overlooks the rear of a shop nice view of a bin overflowing with rubbish. Probably best to just bulldoze the entire building and rebuild it. Receptionist was pleasant . Such a shame as location is great. Perfect for a overnight stop between Scotland and London.

To counter some of the very negative reviews, I am giving five stars. I'm not saying that this is the Ritz but I read the poor reviews but had, in fact, a good experience.  This is a disenfranchised Ibis hotel and it feels it.  It is in a little need of refurbishment with some makeshift repairs evident. The vibe is definitely French budget hotel. Our room was fairly priced, clean, quiet and our family room had a very firm double bed and a rather soft sofa bed. The staff were very pleasant and helpful; we managed to retrieve some lost property which they made plenty of effort to return it to us. The corridors were in a good state and there were no unpleasant odours. On noise, it was all very quiet but, come the dawn, there were some bumps and bangs and one could imagine that inconsiderate guests would be a problem. Notably, the WiFi wasn't working and this might be a persistent issue which the hotel should address, particularly for foreign visitors. Lymm is a big, busy (exciting, even?) truckstop less than five minutes off the motorway and it is always possible to get something to eat.
