   Called to book a taxi for someone who was elsewhere (and has serious mobility issues) and was without phone credit - for context. The guy who answered wasn't the friendliest and before I had chance to ask if they accepted card (as you would hope in 2025!) he abruptly put the phone down on me. I had to assume and hope that the taxi would be there for the person I booked it for. What transpired was that they didn't take card, so the person the taxi was booked for ended up stuck with a very angry taxi driver. They got the taxi to drive to a friend's house to pick up cash and had hoped to continue the taxi journey home as he was still just as far from home as he started. The taxi driver snatched the money and sped off, leaving the passenger with mobility issues stuck and ending up having to make a painful long walk home, with no phone credit they couldn't ring me or another taxi either.

   Ordered a minibus at 11.45 pm then was still waiting for it to turn up at 12.30 . We rung bargain taxis to see where it was they lied and said it was 2 minutes away so rung back again to see where it was they just left in ring multiple times

   I had an absolutely dreadful experience with Bargain Taxis. Booked a ride to the supermarket, and the driver showed up 20 minutes late with no apology or explanation. The car was filthy—sticky seats and a lingering smell of smoke. The driver was rude, barely said a word, and took a longer route. When I tried to contact customer service to complain, I was put on hold for ages, only to be told they couldn’t do anything. Completely unprofessional and unreliable. Never using them again!

   My sister booked a taxi from home to a church in Barnsley. The taxi driver did not know where it was, drove round for ages before he found it. She arrived very distressed and he tried to charge her £29. He accepted £20. Not the usual behaviour at this company!

   Usually I get a taxi quickly. The waiting area is warm. Some taxi drivers try it on by asking "what do you normally pay"! The last one said he hadn't any change when he dropped me off! He surprisingly found some when I waited with my hand out.

   Anyone getting a taxi from Wakefield avoid BARGAIN TAXIS, especially this TAXI. Bloke charged us £9, said he wanted fare before leaving pick up location. So I paid, when we got 5 minutes before our destination I told him which direction to go and he ignored and went a longer way and started driving slower, we told him to turn around. He ignored, and then locked the doors. Told us if we didn’t pay more we would have to get out way before our destination. We got outside where we needed to go and he wouldn’t let us go, we kept trying the doors arguing for him to let us out and he wouldn’t allow us. He then rang BARGAIN TAXIS, who he is driving for and they told him £9 and to let us out and it still took him awhile to accept his bosses said that to let us out. I then asked him for his taxi name and number and he refused to give it to us, so we took a photo of his license and taxi number on the back of the car. But if his bosses didn’t say for him to let us out I doubt we’d of been let out by now. I immediately rung the company and they said to ring back later, as If they couldn’t take the complaint now or can’t be arsed with it. Disgraceful!    Just got Taxi from office in Wakefield to J27 of M62, got charged £25 and when I questioned it and asked to see meter he said ( conveniently) I’ve just cleared it off .Had to advise him from Wakefield to M62. Journey with our usual firm was quoted at £18 so thought £20 would been acceptable. Didn’t leave a tip which we always do normally.

   I’ve used this firm before because their quick and cheaper than other taxi firms but on this occasion even though the car was there within 2 minutes , I was shocked on the price of fare to Ossett storrs hill , was £12 , it only cost us £9.40 going with another firm on Monday to the back of provident street to get a coach to out holiday , my husband was going to get the taxi on the road that wait over road from bus station , I said no bargain taxis are cheaper , but I was shocked when they charged us £12 , and no meter showing in cab , obviously I never gave a tip this time , which I usually do . Won’t use them agsin
