   I want to warn anyone thinking of placing an order with SM London not to. I am an interior designer and have ordered from SM London for many of my projects over the years with no issues. However something has gone very very wrong with this company recently. I placed an order for a custom console table in April. They are very communicative whilst preparing the quote and sending the invoice. I paid the invoice and then it went silent. They needed to send me a technical drawing so that I could sign it off and proceed with production. 7 weeks after paying the deposit (of just under £1000) I had still not received the drawing (I was told they were having server issues in the factory since I place the order which was delaying things) so asked to cancel the order. Suddenly that same day a very simple “technical” drawing was sent! They assured me the console will be made and delivered in 6 weeks so I signed the drawing off and approved the go ahead for production. 9 weeks after instruction to proceed and 15 weeks since I paid the deposit I still don’t have the console and they can’t tell me when I will have it. I have been given endless false promises over the past month and been told that they are having delays getting answers from the factory in Portugal. No one answers the landline and the mobile phones of contacts I have are switched off. Email responses are now pretty much non existent. Ramon the CEO doesn’t reply to emails or messages and is the only one who apparently can approve and process a refund. To date they have not refunded my deposit. I also sent them handles to use on the console drawers which I have asked to be returned. As advised by Citizens Advice I have sent SM London a “Letter to cancel a contract breached” with 7 days to reply and resolve. They have also passed my case on to Trading Standards to look in to. This is a very sad situation but I want to warn others not to place any orders as it doesn’t appear they are able to fulfil them.

   This is a review I did not want to write but I feel I should to warn others especially Interior Designers. I am an Interior Designer and placed an order with this company for furniture, and I paid 100% for all the fabrics too go to their factory too. This amounted £10,000. The owner Ramon visited me in my office in Notting Hill in January, he reassured me and convinced me to place as they have trucks going back and forth to Portugal.. this order was due for delivery at the end of March. It’s now July, and my goods still have not arrived. The company Director won’t take my phone calls, or return my clients monies. If anyone has had a similiar issue can you please make contact. I am planning to take go legal.

   Andra at SM is a pleasure to work with. No ask is big enough, she is always consistently helpful and this goes a long way for us as designers as often we need to make adjustments according to the client's requests. I cannot recommend the company more. We will definitely continue to work with them and are very grateful for the customer experience we have had.

   We had two pieces delivered from SM London: a bed (via a designer) and a sofa (direct order). Both items are of great quality and look amazing! For the sofa order, Andra was most helpful throughout the process. Despite the lockdown conditions, the sofa was delivered even ahead of the agreed date! Overall, excellent furniture and a great customer experience - highly recommend!

   Sofa & More was one of that rare amazing companies I've dealt with in a long time. I recently ordered 10 pieces of bespoke furniture from them for my new flat. From start to finish, it was an absolute pleasure dealing with them. Sales assistants were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They helped guide us with our designs and materials with their competent in-house designers, including with home visits. But what was most amazing was their 'can do attitude' where almost nothing was impossible. As a result, they produced a unique collection of furniture to our exact requirement in the highest possible quality and comfort. Price was very reasonable considering the high end quality workmanship. This sort of company stands apart from the usual high street furniture companies where little imagination and flexibility are found. Highly recommended.
