Today at 7am I have ordered a taxi in advance to be here for 8:30. Taxi arrived at 8:42. Taxi driver said that he was busy with customers. When I was about to pay he stated that he haven’t go any change and took all the notes out. I was called a NAUGHTY CUSTOMER. If taxi driver was so busy then why has he not got any change. Absolutely disgusting service . Won’t use it again.

Absolutely shocking service, unreliable don't bother use Uber. Made a booking the hours in advance and they cancel 20 mins before collection time. Waste of space

Absolute joke. Waited for ten mins to then be told theyre sending another taxi out instead. We was stood waiting in the sun with a tired toddler for nearly 30 minutes and kept getting told it was on the way when it clearly wasnt. When i spoke to the lady about the issue she was quite abrupt and rude. Will NOT be using them again!!

This company has taken my name and details on 3 occasions and never rung me back.
The backstory is a driver from a1 Ossett cars picked up a family friend and brought them to the wmc where it waited for the second job which was to take my 15 year old brother to the family friends house, so a return trip, the taxi was pre paid for as the family friend paid for the full trip. My brother described the driver as jolty, shaky and acting strangely. When it came to my brother getting out the driver asked for money! My poor vulnerable brother had given him a tenner which is all he had and it wasn’t even the amount the return would have been, so not only did the driver take money from my brother for a trip already paid for, he didn’t show him the meter as it wasn’t running to begin with and he didn’t give him change as I rung the next day and asked how much it would be for that trip and the operator said between 5-£7. So absolutely appalling behaviour, have rung multiple times where operators took my details only for the next one to act clueless to my complaints that I was told was written down so they can track the thieving driver! Not even the owner has rung me back but I guess the operators are just as useless when dealing with complaints. Very unprofessional and disgraceful service.

Called to order a taxi, said it would be 15 minutes. After 25 minutes called back and was told it was very busy on the roads and trying to find a driver! I then looked on uber, one came within 5 minutes, it was also £7 cheaper. I called back to cancel A1 and was met with a message that it would arrive in 15 minutes no option to speak with anyone. I was half way to my destination and a full hour after I had first called when driver called me to say he was outside.

Bang on time, got a text alert saying coming, clean car. Only problem was the driver guessed the fare, but when questioned it dropped £1. In the past they have always used the meter, so maybe just an odd one. I will use again but I recommend that you state at the start that you require the meter. In the end we did round it up to £10.

Made an advance booking for a taxi for 8:20am to make a train at 8:50am, taxi didnt turn up until 8:38am missed my train staff were rude and unapologetic. Avoid this company if you need to be somewhere as youll probably end up being late

My email explaining my bad experience.
I have used Ossett cars many times, booking my 86 year old mother to hospital, to booking cars for other family members as well as myself. Up to now, never a problem and I said as much in a council piece recently.
However, on Sunday my Mother had a turn for worse with Dementia, so ordered a taxi 7:30am, 2 Fairfield mount Ossett, to Wakefield bus station where my brother in law would pick me up onto Normanton.
In Normanton I found I had left my black gloves in car, about 9am phoned taxi desk up, was informed the driver had my gloves. I asked if he leaves them at Ossett cabs despatch, I would call and pick them up Monday.
Monday morning the woman at despatch told me the gloves still in cab, he'll drop them off after work. So Tuesday ordered a cab again this time 8:30, first stop from my home was Ossett despatch. Pouring with rain, stood outside, place was shut up, I spoke through intercom, told them come to collect my gloves on way to Wakefield. "Someone come to you!" Kept saying this after ten minutes soaked, I went back to taxi and to the drivers credit he tried to phone and get someone. He was puzzled and after another five minutes of no one coming, we had to leave, meter was running.
The gloves are just average material men's gloves, but have strong sentimental attachment. I am appalled at way as a customer who uses the A1 taxis quite often for family and friends has dealt with this, what was the big issue in giving me the items back accidentally left, yet you have said have found.
I have no recourse to put a ban on booking of A1 taxies or the Christmas and New year's Day parties and will try to pull my report which was positive to the town council. Can't understand your behaviour and as a Criminal Behaviour psychologist, I noticed neither could my taxi driver this morning

Don't bother with this place, rang up at 7:30 to book a taxi for 8:30, never showed up. Rang up at 8:40 to ask where my taxi was, was told it hadn't been dispatched yet and would be with me in 10 minutes. 20 minutes pass and still nothing, ring again and get told yet again that it wasn't dispatched and would be another ten minutes. I then asked for it to be cancelled and got an earful from the operator and got hung up on. Very rude staff, couldn't organise a drinks party in a brewery. Would give minus 5 stars if possible.
